Last night saw our latest Puppy Foundation Course come to an end that I run for Matt Ager Pet & Gundog Training.

All the puppies have achieved so much and their owners have been fantastic. They’ve listened, taken everything on board and worked incredibly hard with their pups, we are very proud of them all!

Sadly, we were missing a couple of pups last night because the course overran due to the heatwave.

Our September courses are now fully booked, so the only spaces currently available are on our November course — the final Puppy Foundation Course of 2026!

Meet Willow!

Willow joined the Happy Hounds gang yesterday! I’ve known her since February 2025, when she was just four and a half months old, she and her owners have completed various training courses with us.

Her owners requested solo walks, so it’s taken a little while for a suitable space to become available.

She’s such a good little girl! 🥰

I don’t often have spaces become available and these guys have had a space reserved for about a month and today Wynter and Enzo have joined the happy hounds gang. They have a couple of pop ins a week and I love spending time with them! 🥰🥰

Everyone thinks dog walkers spend summer praying for sunshine... ☀️ Well we do... but. It is like being in a toxic relationship!

The sunshine arrives and suddenly you're checking pavement temperatures, adjusting rotas, rearranging walks, watching the forecast and hoping it doesn't get any hotter 😅

YES we moan about the weather all the time. We treat it like stock traders!

When it rains, we're soaked.

When it's too hot, the dogs come first and walks get shortened, moved or cancelled.

Either way, Mother Nature likes to keep us on our toes 🤦🏻‍♀️

The dogs don't care whether it's raining or sunny.

They just want their walk.

And honestly? So do I ❤️🐾

Now if we could just have a nice steady 18°C, that would be greaaattt 😆

Happy 9th birthday Hattie! 🎉

How can you be 9 already? I’ve been walking you since you were just 6 months old!

You still make me smile every day with your cheeky ways… even if I’m nearly deaf from your barking in the van 😂

Lola!! 😍

I’ve known Lola since she arrived with her family at just 8 weeks old, and it’s been such a joy watching her grow. She took part in our Puppy Foundation Course and did brilliantly!

I also walk Zara, their other dog, so I get to see plenty of this lovely pair.

Her new best friend is H**e, the black Lab we bred, who is now 20 months.🖤🐾 she also took a shine to Michael the Jack Russell X Dachshund.

Lola absolutely loved today!
