We are so excited to announce that Chris has recently passed his OSCE's and has qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse! He has worked so hard and we are all so proud of him 🌟🥰 It was also his birthday yesterday so Happy Birthday and a big CONGRATULATIONS to Chris 💚

Join us as we show you the behind the scenes running some blood tests! 🩸💉
Our biochemistry machines use plasma which means we need to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. We do this by spinning it in the centrifuge.
When running biochemistry bloods we enter patient details, input a specific measurement of plasma. To run the haematology we enter the patient details, invert the vial multiple times to ensure the sample is adequately mixed and then place the sample tube in the machine.
All of our machines must be regularly quality controlled and calibrated to ensure our results are accurate - this is all completed by our wonderful nurses! 💚

💛 We are fundraising for the North West Air Ambulance 💛

As the North West Air Ambulance service covers an area of around 5000 square miles, that is how far our teams will be walking, running, swimming and cycling in the month of May!

We are teaming up with a few of our fellow Willows branches to raise some funds for an excellent cause! Follow our social media pages to track our progress. Our reception team do so many things in practice including answer phone calls, scheduling appointments, ordering and putting away stock and medications, respond to e-mails, support clients through difficult times, keeping our reception area clean and tidy and so so much more!
We want to say a huge THANK YOU to them this veterinary receptionist week 🥰
