🐾Behind the scenes with new arrivals🐾

We’ve recently welcomed a new group into the rescue — and as always, straight into the routine of getting everything sorted that they need from booking in for check-ups, neuters & dentals and further necessary veterinary care.
Apart from waggy-tails and plenty of kisses to give these guys are in need of a lot of TLC

In summary to last nights vet trip and a busy day at the rescue:

🐻Trigger - Arrived full of bumps and spots - after last nights trip it’s been confirmed he has a foreign body in his neck which is also severely infected. He’s currently on antibiotics to get things settled, and will have it surgically removed alongside his neuter.

🥯Bagel the beagle - the one that already stole many hearts! This special girl is next in line for her spay and dental, as well as a structured diet and exercise plan to get her feeling her very best.

🌮Dorito, a tiny chihuahua male - his eye is severely infected which caused him to permanently loose his vision in one of the sockets, and unfortunately.. there’s a surgical removal planned during his neuter to keep him comfortable long term however this little guy is still so full of love and enjoying the rescue life day to day💚

🌯Burrito - will be having her dental and spay.

💃🏼Salsa - Currently being treated for urinary infection, and will then go on for her spay and dental.

And lastly the little 🌶️Chili girl which has a heart murmur, so we’ll be carrying out further tests and blood work to understand exactly what she needs so she can enjoy a full comfortable life.

From Dentals, vaccinations, costly surgeries, medications and investigations to special diets, training and giving these dogs the life they deserve — it’s all part of what we do, and no day is the same!
But all of us would do it all over again without a doubt 💚

We truly wouldn’t be able to do any of this without our incredible supporters. Because of your continued kindness, we’re able to keep saying yes and help more dogs just like these that require that special care.

Where’s our Bagel lovers…. 🥯

You thought we said Beagle, well actually we’ve named this adorable Beagle, Bagel.

We’ve only had her with us at ANLOL for a few days but she’s proven to be lovely with everyone and full of love.

So we are opening the phone to enquiries for this beautiful girl.

She needs someone who will commit to her exercise and diet regime and help her shift some weight gently.

We are told she’s between 4-6 years old. She’s lived with other dogs.

She will be vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped. With a health check up by a vet.

This is a special post dedicated to Alexandra Fox and her lovely little girl Kitti!!

Kitti, who is only 10 years old, gives up sugar (ENTIRELY! 😮) for lent! So the Easter Bunny rewards her well for her commitment and dedication.

This year, Kitti decided she wanted to give her reward back to the dogs searching for homes and that is when her lovely mum Alexandra got in touch to ask what is most useful for our guys.

They took a little trip out, and on Monday delivered these fabulous items to be sent out to homes with our adopted rescues 💚 what an incredible little lady!!

This is alongside a client of Alexandra’s also donating £20 towards the dog’s care too.

Some truly amazing people!!

🐾💚 ANLOL TURNS 1!!! 💚🐾

Today we are pausing to take in and appreciate just how much love and support you incredible bunch have shown our beautiful dogs across our first year of operation💚

Since ‘A New Lead on Life - North West Rescue’ opened it’s doors on 28th May 2025 (Exactly 1 year ago today) we have saved approximately 156 dogs from neglect, euthanasia, and truly difficult and emotional situations!

That is 156 lives changed because of your kindness, compassion, and belief in second chances!

Every foster who has opened/continues to open their home, every incredible adopter who opened their hearts, every dedicated volunteer, donator, transporter, home checker, vet, and supporter who stepped up when it mattered most - we truly want to thank you all! 🙏🏻

A big thank you to our local pet shops Purely Raw // Marks Pet Shop // Woof n puss pet supplies who have helped keep us stocked up with the tasty goods, given post adoption nutrition support and even raised funds, gifted items and been a donation base for us! We couldn’t do this without you guys 💚

You have all given these dogs comfort, healing and hope, and all of us so many reasons to smile (and cry many many tears along the way!)

We have had the pleasure of meeting some truly incredible, generous, kind and inspiring people this last year.

We are forever grateful and deeply proud of what we’ve accomplished together and this is only the beginning. As we step into our next year of rescue, we do so with some truly remarkable plans in the works, to save many more lives and offer new beginnings for many more dogs!

What started as a small helping hand, to help just a handful of dogs, having made use of a small space and a huge love of dogs, has become something truly unimaginable, and we can’t wait to show you what else we have in store to make these dog’s time in rescue, the very best! 💚🐾
