After the huge success of the previous social walks and further requests for more, James has booked another date in and these places are sure to go quick.

We are predicted some warm weather this week - just a reminder that you can edit your own booking up to 12 hours in advance via your log in on the website, if you feel it’s too hot for your dog.

The pool is out and the woods are cool, plus the car park is shaded.

Bookings can be moved as many times as you like, but unfortunately we do have a no refund policy.

We also offer early morning and late night slots, we are open every day from 6am to 10pm 🌅

We attended one of James Hare Imdt social walks in the dog park yesterday afternoon, and are we glad we did!

Isla is training to be a working dog, so being able to work around distractions is key to her job.

The social walk run by James, is relaxed but structured, working in your own space, we have a huge amount of space so dogs don’t interact with one another but can see and hear what’s going on. All dogs are kept on lead for the session.

James will spend 10-15 minutes with each dog and handler answering any questions and giving advice. He is very knowledgable, giving handy tips and things we can work on at home. You spend the rest of the time walking around the park, practising the techniques discussed. Or, as Isla did, we sat in the shade for some of the time just watching and observing. An extremely valuable skill for your dog which is often overlooked.

Joining us was another Labrador, a French bulldog, a Rhodesian ridgeback and a cocker spaniel. All had their own individual training needs and the owners were supported by James, running through different training techniques and commenting on subtle body language.

The hour zipped by pretty quickly, everyone had lots of shade to work in and plenty of trips to the water bowl.

Isla did very well, and had a well deserved dip in the pool to finish!

James is running several courses here at the dog park, something for everyone. Take a look at his website, he is very responsive to answering any queries you have.

INFORMATION POST 🐾🐾

Please be aware that we are having some works done on the nearby farmland and this may see a slight increase in traffic in and out of the main farm gate.

This shouldn’t affect your experience once in the park, but please make sure all guests park inside the car park, securing the gate and then you can freely let your dog out of the car.

Please avoid parking in the waiting area and walking across to the car park.

Cloud K9 customers must take their dogs out of the car and straight into the groomers, and again when collecting. If you feel your dog needs a toilet break before or after the groomers, there is an area of grass Sarah or Kat can guide you to which is safely behind the fence.

All dogs MUST be on a lead outside of the park.

We are so excited to be launching our scent work course next week here at Lodge Farm Dog Park, our 1st session sold out so quickly, we launched 2 more sessions.
We have a 22nd June 2025 start date, which has very limited spaces on, and we have also launched a midweek session commencing on Tuesday 8th July 2025

We have some more amazing sessions coming up next week too.
We have a small amount of spaces left of our social walk on Saturday 14th May 2025 and a small amount of spaces left on our reactivity workshop.

We seem to have some little fledglings taking their first flights out of the hedge behind the shelter 🙈

I’ve had two (luckily soft mouthed) dogs catch two of them but I was able to place back through the fence into the long grass.
Watch out!

If you do see one grounded just give it a wide berth, if you can! 😅

The field is looking glorious after a much needed cut and a bit of rain. You can see Mouse on the left here by the fence, but where’s Pea? 🤷‍♀️

Have you seen our new water tap?

Now located near the tunnel in the main field, fresh mains tap water 💦 so your thirsty pal has access to water at all times.
As well as the tap in the car park.
The water butt has gone, it was quite damaged, and leaking 😬

Please can we remind you to keep internal gates closed, dogs should only be in an area if a person is with them - your dog should be in your sight at all times!

What a glorious morning here at Lodge Farm!
Perfect to appreciate a warm coffee ☕️

A few queries regarding payments getting cancelled. To clarify, when you make a booking if the payment isn’t completed within 20 minutes the booking will time out and automatically cancel. You will receive an email to say it’s been cancelled. Sometimes the payment processors are a bit slow (out of my control 🙃) which is why the payment doesn’t complete in time.

Then, helpfully, they might re-present the payment and it goes through 🤯

So, the long and short of it is, if you’ve had a booking confirmation email you’re in 👍🏻 if you haven’t, you’re not 👎

I’m always happy to check for you, so just send me a message 🤗
