UPDATED 2.01.2024
Hi, please note our polices below.
Appointment policy.
Missed/cancelled appointments.
Missed appointments or cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice will require 50% of the groom price to be paid before any further appointments.
Late arrivals.
If you are 15 minutes or more late for an appointment, this will need to be cancelled and re arranged and will be classed as a missed appointment, so you may also incur a 50% charge of the groom. This is due to having other dogs booked in, and we may not be able to complete your dogs groom in less time before the next customer.
Matting/irregular grooming.
Please note that dogs that have gone considerably over the time period recommended without being groomed/ do not come on a regular basis will now be charged double if they are matted. This is due to the fact it can make an appointment go from 1.5/2 hours to 3 hours or more, and time and equipment must come into consideration.
Pregnant dogs.
We do not groom pregnant dogs. Any dogs booked in pregnant will be sent home and still charged for the appointment.
If your dog has recently had a litter we can not groom your dog until the pups are weened and both mother and pups will be happy to be separated for a couple of hours and a vet has confirmed this is OK.
Aggression.
Aggressive dogs will unfortunately have to be sent home and charged full price. It is all owners' responsibility to be 100% honest about their dogs' behaviour and any issues with past grooming. Not doing so puts our safety at risk and also the risk of putting us out of work if badly bitten. We will not take on any aggressive dogs as they need a specialised groomer working alongside a behaviourist or sedating and clipped off at the vets.
Illness.
Sickness/diarrhoea.
If your dog has recently had sickness and or diarrhea we can not take them in until they have been clear from this for a week or 2 depending on what your vet says about the cause and how long it may be contagious for.
Conjunctivitis.
We can not take in dogs with Conjunctivitis until this is cleared up with drops from the vets, and they have been signed off as no longer contagious.
Kennel cough.
Please note that if your dog has the nasal spray kennel cough vaccine, we can not take in any dogs until 14 days after. This is due to the vaccine being a live vaccine and can shed for up to 14 days after.
If your dog has a cough, please let us know ASAP to cancel and rearrange your appointment.
Please note that this applies for anything infectious that can be passed on. The infection must be treated and cleared and signed off as no longer infectious by your vet.
The safety and well-being of everyone's dog in our care is our number 1 priority, and so we must follow these steps for the above to prevent the spread of any infection.
Thank you for your understanding.
