After years of studying, practical work, case studies, learning theory, behaviour modification, welfare, body language, emotional health and the science behind behaviour… I’m incredibly proud to say that I have officially qualified as an IMDT Canine Behaviourist. 🎓🐾
This course has challenged me in ways I never expected. It has completely changed the way I understand behaviour — not just what dogs do, but why they do it, and how emotion, learning history, environment, pain and welfare all interact.
I’ve spent countless hours analysing cases, studying behavioural science, refining practical skills and learning how to approach behaviour ethically, compassionately and scientifically. Passing this course means so much because it represents not only knowledge gained, but the responsibility that comes with helping both dogs and their guardians in a meaningful way.
One of the biggest things this journey has reinforced for me is that behaviour is communication — and that real progress comes from understanding, safety, trust and empathy rather than suppression or punishment.
I’m genuinely excited for what comes next and for the opportunity to continue helping dogs and their people through evidence-based, welfare-focused behaviour work.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported me throughout this journey. ❤️
