Clay Cottage Cattery has been established since 1984 and has seen many changes over the years; the most recent is its new proprietors Marina and Mark Murdoch. This results in relaxed owners who are then able to enjoy their own time away. Opening Times

Boarding Tariff

£12 per cat per day
£17 per day for two cats sharing
£22 per day for three cats sharing
£27 per day for four cats sharing
£32 per day for five cats sharing
£37 per day for six cats sharing

Cats sharing must be from the same household

A full day’s board is charged for the days of arrival and departure. Payment for boarding (cash or card ) must be made at the time of your cats’ collection.


1. Long Term Bookings

Good news - Myrtle has returned home extremely hungry but with no injuries. Think she might have been trapped somewhere.

Myrtle is missing 🥲

Myrtle is our residence feral cat who lives at Clay Cottage. She may have gone wandering but we haven’t seen her since Monday which is unusual as she is fed by us and has a shed she loves in here.
We hope and pray she’s ok but if you do see her around Cranworth and Southburgh just message us so we know she’s just off on one of her jolly’s.

Mouse is now the proud owner of a
hi-viz jacket.

Many of our customers have met Mouse. He absolutely loves the customers. But Mouse due to his age (almost 19 years old ) is stone deaf. So to protect him from potential hazards he will be seen around the property proudly wearing his new hi-viz.

Please keep an eye out for him when parking up at the Cattery.

Mouse says if you arrive with treats he will give you priority parking 😁😁😁
