Beautiful Fleur, one of our favourite flatcoat retriever, giving me kisses to keep me cool during her appointment this week! 🥰 😂

How are all your doggies managing in the heat this week? 🌞🔥

It’s not always easy for them, especially those with thicker coats. 🥵 Regular grooming can really help keep your dogs comfortable in warmer weather by removing excess coat and helping air circulate better through their fur. 🌬️

If your pup could do with a Summer spruce up ✂️ 🧼 just give us a shout and we’ll do our best to squeeze you in ASAP!

Upcoming Workshop

Are you unsure of how to support your struggling dog on walks? Do you feel anxious when out walking, or simply want to boost your confidence? Do you find canine body language confusing, find you misinterpret things, or struggle to understand their social cues? Would you love to know how you can tweak your walks to match your dog, and how to support them when you're out, creating a safer environment for them and you?

Andrea and Hannah will be monitoring you through a workshop based on a 6 week progression.

Not your average 'reactive dog' workshop. These are focused on you, the owner/guardian of your dog, and how you can support them.

Our workshops start off with a solo session, and build to teach you how to support your dog when others are in view. Using a remote secure field so there are no unexpected interruptions, build your confidence and skills so that you can support your dog day to day ongoing.

Workshops include:
6 weeks of in person support/guidance

week 1: 25 minute solo session with Andrea and Hannah

week 2-4: 45 minute sessions 1:1 with 2 dogs in the field at distance suited to them and you

week 5 & 6: 90 minute sessions with 4 dogs in the field, with plenty of breaks, and time to calmly support your dog.

Daily whatsapp support - we are available every day between sessions to troubleshoot and support you as and when the questions come up - no need to wait for next week!

15% discount on follow up 'real world' support walk 3 week programme. Must be booked within 4 weeks of workshop end.

No discount offered for missing a session. You should commit to attend at least 5 sessions, including weeks 2-4.

Not accepted: Extendable leads, slip leads, check chains, prong collars or vibrate collars.

Flat accessible field with some dips and bumps, chairs on site and porta loo if required. In the event of rain, bring your waterproofs!

After a fabulous week of quality time off together, away with our four-pawed babies, and some rare phone-free time, we’re back fully recharged and raring to go with our first groom booked in bright and early for 7.30am tomorrow! 🌞

🐾 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲: 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗥&𝗥! 🐾

After a very busy past few months, we’re taking a little break next week for some much-needed rest and recharging. That means there will be no appointments available this coming week (26th May- 1st June) as we step away from the scissors, brushes and leads for a short breather. 😴

🐾 𝗠𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗰𝘆’𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲! 🗓️ 🐾

Mr Darcy 🐶 has been very busy helping Clive keep on top of the diary this week and he tells us we’ve got some rare last-minute availability that we need to get busy filling! 📣

We have both 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 – whether you want to visit us at our place in Thatcham, or prefer us to come to you.

We’ll be taking some much-needed annual leave next week, so if your pup is due a tidy-up or you’ve been meaning to book a behavioural session, this is the time to do it. These slots won’t hang around for long – and once they’re gone, it might be a little wait!

🐾 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗡𝗼 𝗗𝗼𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸… 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱! 🦆😂 🐾

Last night’s No Dog Walk at Pangbourne Meadows with Dogvergent was a peaceful one – a chance for a good natter, a wander in the evening sunshine, and some unexpected company from our very own honorary guest… who just so happened to be a duck. 🦆 Yes, really. 😂

He joined us for the whole stroll, waddling along like he’d read the event listing and fancied some fresh air and dog chat. We couldn’t stop laughing – and we’re pretty sure he was loving the attention. 🥰

Sometimes it’s the simplest things – a walk, good conversation, and a surprise web-footed friend – that make the best evenings.

We’re already looking forward to 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘆 – come along and join us (duck optional, but strongly encouraged). 💬🐾
