Me again reminding you that postal entries are now closed and only 1 week yes 1 week to go for on-line entries!!

Please support Team Thame and more importantly the judges, many are travelling some distance to come and judge your lovely dogs - please give them the support and let them have a good entry! One judge is even popping on a plane to come over and have the pleasure of going over your dogs - Lets see if we can give her a bumper entry.

A reminder again about a few changes to the schedule with judges and prize money

New ones

Jackie Radcliffe is no longer judging so the following changes have been made to her breeds and AV class -
Irish setters (not breed supported classes this year ) - Brenda Hutchison level 2
Italian Spinoni - Marion Sargent level 2 Chesapeake Bay Retriever - Brenda Hutchison level 2
English Springer Spaniel - Lewis Nicklin
AV Yearling Stakes - Brenda Hutchison Gordon Setter - Sue Graves - Level 2

Time is ticking as entries close the end of the month - so thought I would remind you of quite a few changes we have to the schedule

* German Shepherd Dogs will now be judged by Amy Clinton (Westlawn).
* Briards has been kindly donated prize money from Cheryl Biddlecome (Chavell) £5 BOB £5 RBOB £5 BP.
* Hungarian Vizsla - breed supported prize money is £10 BOB and £5 BP and not as stated in schedule.
* Irish Setters will now to be judged by Brenda Hutchison - Level 2 Judge and are not a breed supported entry.
* Boston Terriers are sponsored by Cheryl Grange (Bosties) with £10 BOB, £5 RBOB and £5 BP.
* Russian Toy Jan McLeod has kindly matched the breed supported prize money £5 for RBOB.
* Cavalier King Charles Spaniel will now be judged by Glenn Robb (Gleniren). Level 2
* Great Danes will now be judged by Sharon Nunn (Roshanun) and is breed supported not sponsored as in the
prize money - GBGV & PBGV - £10 BOB £5 BP thank you Geraldine Dodd

So time to start nagging for those entries!! Yup I know you have heard it all before from other shows 🤣🙈 So will just say we have some wonderful judges travelling distances to go over your wonderful dogs - let’s make it another bumper entry!

Will remind you of incentives as the time goes on so today’s reminder -

🏆 Team Thame really do love to give out prizes so this year we are trying something different and bringing the prizes down to other winners rather than just BIS etc and all Group 1 Winners and Puppy Group 1 Winners will receive £30 as well as one of our special keepsake prizes !

As the saying goes - you have to be in it to win it! Also think of the blood pressure of secretaries towards closing time watching those numbers coming in 🤣🤣😱

Time is ticking as entries close the end of the month - so thought I would remind you of quite a few changes we have to the schedule

Please do support these new judges if you can as it is always hard to pick up someone else's entry and I am extremely grateful for them doing so - I would be really lovely to give them a cracking entry - some of these as well as others in show are hoping to have Breed Observations done so please if you can support your breed as this is how we get new and up-and-coming judges passed and assessed.

We have just had confirmation that a Vet will be doing Titre Testing at our Thame Premier Show - it will be £60 per dog and the vet confirms that she does not clip the coat to take blood. I will post up more details when I get them.

We look forward to welcoming you to our show and wish you all good luck!!

We have secured more space this year as took on board the comments on space last year so you will have plenty of room - we have 1 inside arena and 2 outside arenas so plenty of space with wet weather accommodation available if needed but let’s hope we have a wonderful dry day🤞👌 unfortunately there are no gazebos allowed due to H&S as the wind can pick up there and we don’t want any issues - please also make sure you set up a bit back from the rings to allow easy access for all.

The Junior Warrant Heat is judged this year by Darren Clarke and as before will start before the main show starts and those breeds in the JW heat will NOT be first in the Main Show so gives you time to compete without worry of rushing to your breed ring.

We don’t believe in 1 judge per group and do our best to find you judges you would appreciate so once again we have some wonderful judges on our panel with a mixture of breed people and all rounders with 42 Judges across the show giving you lots of choice for stakes classes and those chances to win JW /ShCex / VW / OSW points!! 👍

Our Harvest Stakes Classes will have our renowned (& often copied🤣 ) winner Baskets full of all sorts of goodies including what could be your millionaire lottery ticket!! 🤞🙏

Vulnerable Breeds Stakes Classes all have lucky dip bottles and the Champ & Veteran Stakes Classes have Lucky Dip Envelopes with either £30,£20,£15,£10,£5 in it!! Which will be yours !! 🤩🤷‍♀️

***A reminder of our JEP Zoom Overview & Q&A - 17th December 7pm £8 ***

After the recent successful KC JEP Webinars on the processing side and inputting the date onto the website, this Q & A couldn't come at a better time.

Jeff will go through how the scheme runs to remind us of how to progress through the different levels and what you need to do for the next sections. There will be a Q & A section as well as pre-given questions so you really should be able to get all your queries resolved .

We are delighted that Jeff Horswell has agreed to do an overview & Q&A for us on the JEP system. With the traditional route finishing end of 2025 it is imperative that you understand where you are with your judging progress and see what your next steps need to be.

Jeff will give an overview of the JEP system & answer your queries. On the form there is a section for any questions that you want to ask or if not then just ask on the night.

The talk will be via Zoom 17th December 2024 at 7pm.
