There are cases of cats found sheltering in cars every year!
In poor winter weather conditions, outdoor cats naturally look for shelter. They may hide under your car, in the wheel arch or even crawl into the engine bay for warmth, not knowing that you'll come along ready to drive off.
Take a minute to:
π Check around your car and wheels. If you can safely do so, check under the bonnet too.
πββ¬ Bang on your car bonnet before starting the engine and wait a moment - give any cats a chance to get out safely!
π Honk your horn - if you hear noises but don't see a cat leave, this might persuade them to get going!
A quick check from you could save a life this winter πΎ
