Next week I'll be starting carriage driving lessons for all the dogs to help me navigate the fule price rise.

So imagine my surprise, when he immediately slumps onto the sofa after today's walk (he normally hangs about on the off chance that I might have a tasty morsal or two up my sleeve)! πŸ›‹οΈπŸ˜΄

It's TODAY! March 20th is National Day πŸΆπŸ’›

Founded by Sarah Jones our incredible Member from My Anxious Dog UK, Sarah has been an inspiration to all alongside her companion Bella.

This day is incredibly important to help raise awareness and understanding for anxious and reactive dogs or dogs that need space.

Bella was attacked as a puppy and became terrified of other dogs - Sarah knew there was more needed to help raise awareness and help other dogs like Bella.

So let's celebrate our yellow army!

And just like that... we have (unofficially) entered summer. A whopping 18Β° was clocked on my dashboard this afternoon (outside temperatures were slightly lower). And yes, I'm embarrassed to admit I've got sunburn! πŸ˜‚ 🦞
Charlie wasn't complaining this afternoon (neither were all the other dogs I meet on my daily rounds). They're all thoroughly enjoying the weather! β˜€οΈπŸ•

**NEW DOG WALKING LAW STARTS TODAY**

Dog owners, please take note – a new law has come into force today (18th March 2026) across England & Wales.

βš–οΈ What’s changed?

πŸ‘‰ You can now face unlimited fines if your dog chases, scares, or disturbs livestock – even if there’s NO physical contact.
πŸ‘‰The rules now apply not just in fields, but also on footpaths, roads, and public rights of way.
πŸ‘‰ Police have the power to seize your dog and collect evidence, if they have reasonable grounds to believe it has attacked or worried livestock.

πŸ‘ Important to know:

Even barking or running at animals like sheep, cows, alpacas or horses can count as an offence – as it can cause stress, injury or worse.

🌳 Always remember:

βœ” Keep your dog on a lead around livestock.
βœ” Even if your dog has strong recall, always put them ON A LEAD!
βœ” Always follow countryside signs
βœ” Be extra careful during lambing season

Please share to spread awareness 🐾

The sun made a rare appearance this afternoon during a Let out and Play session with the fabulous four: Ginny, Dobby, Fen and Fizz. 🌞 You know winter is officially over when the whippets are happy to stay out for as long as possible. They're a canine barometer! πŸ˜‚ 🐾🌑️

🐢🌿 UK Dog Walkers – It’s Tick Season! 🌿🐢

I swear these posts happen earlier each year!!🫣

Do you love long walks in the countryside with your dog? Unfortunately, so do ticks... πŸͺ³

Ticks are common across the UK, especially in:
🌲 Woodlands
🌾 Long grass & meadows
🏞️ Moorland & countryside paths
πŸ‘ Areas with deer or livestock

They can carry diseases like Lyme disease, so it’s important to stay vigilant.

πŸ”Ž After every walk:
βœ”οΈ Check your dog’s ears, neck, armpits, groin & between toes
βœ”οΈ Feel for small lumps while stroking their coat
βœ”οΈ Remove ticks promptly with a proper tick removal tool (twist, don’t pull!)
βœ”οΈ Avoid burning, squeezing or covering with substances

πŸ›‘οΈ Prevention matters:
Speak to your vet about tick prevention treatments suited to your dog.

If your dog seems lethargic, lame, feverish, or off their food after a tick bite β€” contact your vet ASAP!

A quick 60 second check after each walk can ensure the safety of your best friend πŸΆπŸ’•

Let's share wide and far to keep as much dogs safe for these horrible little beasties πŸͺ³πŸ¦

I probably enjoy talking to Miz's mum just as much as I do walking Miz, even if the conversation is about an overpriced vet appointment (hopefully, the new vet sector reforms will make the system fairer). Miz, on the other hand, has no time for politics. Every day, he manages to steal the show 🀩🐾

This morning, I texted my client: "I have a cancellation this afternoon, are you happy to move Trigger's walk back to 12pm?" ⏱️
"Of course, no problem" she said.
As soon as I walk through the kitchen door at 12pm, there's a torrential downpour. Coat, bag and trousers - everything soaked through! β˜”
No matter what the weather - or the mood - this guy has a permanent smile on his face. It's pretty much guaranteed - or your money back! There really is no such thing as a bad day for Trigg 😊🐾.

Everyone knows I'm a huge Traitors fan. So imagine my excitement when the BBC release Traitors Ireland with Siobhan McSweeney, who walks onto set, flanked by four Irish wolfhounds. 'Now that would make an epic show reel for a dog walking business' I commented to a friend. 'Not so epic when you return home, covered in mud... and GOD KNOWS what else!' she sniffed. I have to agree. While I'm definitely not going to win awards for style and presentation, my passion and lifelong commitment to animals (and their humans!) more than makes up for all the mess. Who needs a designer outfit, when you've got the best job in the world?
