Pet's Choice Grooming Salon is a purpose built grooming salon in a well established veterinary centre on Stafford Park 15, Telford. The groomer is Chloe Greene who undertook an intensive grooming course last year and as well as being proficient, is very patient with the dogs.

Why We Can’t Groom Dogs in Season

At Arthur’s Barkers, your dog’s wellbeing is always our top priority. We kindly ask that female dogs who are in season (in heat) are not brought in for grooming appointments.

Here’s why:

Stress & Discomfort: Hormonal changes can make dogs feel more anxious, sensitive, or uncomfortable—especially during grooming.

Disruption to Other Dogs: The scent of a dog in season can cause a lot of stress or distraction for other dogs in the salon, particularly males.

Safety First: Grooming requires close contact and handling, which may not be well tolerated during this time and can increase the risk of reactive behaviour or stress-related issues.

If your dog comes into season unexpectedly, please let us know—we’ll happily reschedule with no fuss.
