The truth is, a great groom starts long before the first clip. ❤️🐾

This weekend was a perfect reminder of how important teamwork is.

I’d like Bella Boo’s of Newportut to Isaac, who has been working with us while completing his placement from Rodbaston College.

Isaac first joined us through his Level 2 Animal Welfare course, spending time with the wonderful Bella Boos of Newport, where he quickly showed a real passion for dogs, an excellent knowledge of breeds and, most importantly, a genuine understanding of animal welfare.

Since being accepted onto the Level 2 Dog Grooming course starting this September, he’s been spending time in our salon learning the foundations of professional grooming.

Last Monday, Isaac joined me on a specialist Prep & Preparation training day. We came away with lots of new ideas, techniques and a renewed appreciation that preparation really is everything.

This weekend, he absolutely smashed it! 👏

Every dog that comes into our salon deserves the very best care. A correctly prepared coat isn’t just about getting it clean—it makes clipping smoother, sc******ng more accurate, de-shedding more effective and, most importantly, creates a calmer, more comfortable experience for the dog.

Having a dedicated bather working alongside the groomer means every part of the process gets the attention it deserves. While one of us carefully prepares each dog and keeps the salon running smoothly, the other can concentrate on delivering the best possible finish, maintaining equipment and giving every dog the time and care they deserve.

That’s how we maintain the standards we’re so proud of.

Isaac, thank you for all your hard work this weekend. You’ve embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, listened, learned and worked incredibly hard.

I’m genuinely excited to watch your journey over the next 12 months. I have no doubt you’ll become a fantastic Grooming Assistant, and I can’t wait to see where your passion takes you. 🌟

📢 Important Update – Price Changes from September 2026

We want to thank you for trusting us with your beloved pets. We know that any price increase can be difficult, and we want to reassure you that this decision has been made carefully so we can continue to provide the high standard of care, professional products, quality equipment, and one-to-one attention that your pets deserve.

From 1st September 2026, our grooming prices will be increasing.
We will be pricing your dog based on the groom requirements, your dogs coat condition and your dogs temperament.

A dog who is regularly burnished at home, stands comfortably for the groom and tolerates the drier, clippers and nail clipping takes less time and resources than a dog who is matted, jumps around on the table and needs two staff to trim the face or nails ! And therefore the price will be individually adjusted for your dog.

To help make regular grooming more manageable and affordable, we’ve introduced a new payment option designed with pet owners in mind.

✨ Introducing Our Scheduled Payment Plan ✨

Our new annual subscription has been created to give you peace of mind, make budgeting easier, and ensure your dog continues to receive the regular grooming they need throughout the year.

🐾 What’s included?
Based on an 8 week schedule
• 6 tailored appointments across the year
• Your first appointment is paid for at the time of your first booking
• The remaining balance is then divided into 10 equal monthly payments
• No large grooming bills – just simple, manageable monthly payments
• Priority scheduling for your six pre-booked appointments
• a special bonus treatment ( such as a mud mask or foot spa conditioner) at Christmas ( December bookings) and summer ( July bookings )

(For schedules of differing timescales ( such as 6 or 10 weeks ) we will work out the payment plan accordingly)

Regular grooming plays an important role in keeping your dog comfortable, healthy, and looking their best. We hope this new payment plan offers added convenience and reassurance, while helping you stay on top of your dog’s grooming routine with ease.
