💜 Meet Bessie 💜

Appointments get missed, no one ever showed you how to actually brush your dog properly, life happens. And sometimes we end up here. I don’t believe in judging or shaming. I believe in educating so we can prevent this from happening again.

This isn’t pleasant; neither for the dog nor the groomer. You can see she’s uncomfortable. It’s a dangerous, difficult process. We can’t see beneath the mats so we’re taking our best guess. Slowly and steadily. You can see my clippers are struggling to get through the coat. And these are powerful clippers. And I caught Bessie’s toe. And I felt awful. It happens with challenging cases. And we learn something every time.

I also learned that Bessie is anxious. She is sweet. She is gentle. She is patient. And I hope she felt all the love from me. I’m really happy to have her on a schedule and she’ll be back to her happy fluffy self in no time.

Just look at the delicious doggos that walked through the studio doors this month 🤩

The weeks are flying by, especially when my clients all have their best friends on brilliant schedules. It’s so lovely to feel a sense of consistency and I genuinely look forward to seeing each and every one of them.

I’ve taken some time off this month to spend with my family and it’s been great, as well as having my niece spend a week with me in the studio for work experience. Such great memories made 💛

Here’s to a happy and maybe hot June ☀️ Air con is ready for the studio so I’m hoping to be able to keep your pups appointments throughout the summer.
