Meet Maggie 🐾💙

This was Maggie’s first 1:1 session, and we started at the beginning building the basics, where every good recall journey begins with engagement.

Before asking a dog to come back, we want them to enjoy checking in and choosing to stay connected. Building that relationship first makes everything else much easier.

Over the next few sessions, we’ll keep strengthening those foundations before gradually introducing more distractions.

Looking forward to seeing how Maggie progresses. 💙🐾

This usually ruffles a few feathers... 👀

The goal isn’t a perfectly obedient dog. It’s a dog that understands you, and an owner who understands their dog.

That’s what we do best at K9 Wild, helping owners build confidence, strengthen their bond with their dogs, and achieve lasting results, one session at a time.

It’s an awkward truth... but it’s still the truth. 🐾

Yesterday we spend the day out for Jessica’s birthday ♥️🎉

We always seem to end up at the designer village, and this time we combined it as a training opportunity for Blu — and he did amazing. Before going into any shops, we did our usual settle routine: a walk around the environment, letting him take in the smells, sounds, movement, and general atmosphere. Those first 20 minutes are gold for helping pups regulate.

Once he’d decompressed, he worked beautifully. He waited calmly while Jess looked at trainers, responded well to training, then ate his lunch and slept through ours. That ability to switch off in a busy environment is such an important skill and he’s already showing really promising foundations. 🐶💙

I also noticed how aware he was of children — he genuinely likes kids, so all the noise and excitement had him tuned in. Not a negative response, just that heightened interest we’ll keep shaping into neutrality and confidence. Awareness isn’t the same as worry, and it’s something we can build on with controlled setups and good experiences.

When we got home, he carried all that good work straight into Jessica’s birthday party. Consistency like that tells me his foundations are really forming and he’s starting to generalise those skills across different environments.

Every outing is a training session, whether planned or not, and yesterday was a big win for his development. 💙🐾

Keep up the good work Jess — you’re doing great.
And , you did an amazing job setting those early foundations.

Stay tuned for more puppy adventures !!
