What makes me happy? 🐾

It’s not the perfect videos or the finished results.

It’s watching a nervous dog find confidence.
It’s seeing owners finally understand their dog.
It’s muddy boots, early mornings, wagging tails, and the tiny breakthroughs that most people never notice.

After years working with police dogs and now helping families build better relationships with theirs, I can honestly say this is where I’m happiest.

Dogs don’t care what car you drive, what job you have, or what you look like. They just ask for your time, patience, and trust.

And that’s exactly why I love what I do. 🤍

Morning — yesterday was our first day back in class after a short break.

Welcome to all the new class members and the returning superstars. ⭐️

I’m running two groups at the moment:
• Beginner pups — building confidence, correct socialisation and understanding for both pups and their handlers.
• Older pups — expanding their toolkits, retaining value and strengthening the foundations we’ve already put in place.

I asked everyone yesterday what their number one struggle was. The answer was clear: other dogs.

Through focus and engagement we create value, keeping it, and helping our pups understand that they don’t need to look elsewhere for fun. We make us the best option every time.

I also offer 1:1 training, and a lot of my class clients come through those sessions first. It’s the natural next step for them — working around distractions and building deeper understanding.

🐾 Monthly Social Walk

Building confidence, one step at a time

Today we had our monthly Social Walk — a chance for K9 Wild clients to get together, put their training into practice, and work on the bits that matter out in the real world. These sessions are all about dogs and handlers learning side by side, taking things at a steady, fair pace.

We get all sorts on these walks:
vocal, timid, boisterous, unsure, over‑excited… and everything in between. And that’s exactly why these sessions are so valuable.

When handlers see they’re not the only ones working through these things, something changes. The pressure eases, confidence builds, and the whole group settles. With the support of the pack, every dog finds their stride, and every handler gets to see just how far they’ve come.

It’s all part of the training journey — real‑life practice, steady progress, and celebrating the wins together 🐕💙

This Saturday morning we wrapped up the last classes of this block, and honestly… it’s been a pleasure to see people and their pups grow in confidence and skills.

Watching the pups and their handlers enjoy themselves learning and developing each week is exactly why I love doing this. 🐾

The older pups have really stepped up too. We added a bit of search work this set to get the handlers thinking and applying their skills in real‑life moments.

The magic happens when you take these skills out into everyday life:

Create behavioural habits

• Focus
• Recall
• Obedience positions
• Lead handling
• Socialisation that keeps you valuable
• Nose work to build confidence and engagement
