☀️🐾 Keep your dog cool this heatwave with a tasty frozen treat! 🧊

When the temperatures soar, a homemade frozen treat can be a fun way to help your dog stay cool. We’ve put together a few simple recipes that are perfect for warm summer days.

A few important reminders:
🐶 Always supervise your dog while they’re enjoying frozen treats.
🥜 If using peanut butter, always check it’s xylitol-free, as xylitol is highly toxic to dogs.
🍓 Introduce new foods gradually, especially if your dog has a sensitive stomach.
🍦 Frozen treats should be an occasional treat and not replace a balanced diet.
💧 Fresh, cool drinking water should always be available.

A gentle reminder from all of us at Pawters Pet Grooming to help keep your pets safe during the warm weather. 🐾💙

💧 Keep fresh water available at all times.
🌳 Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening when it’s cooler.
🔥 Avoid hot pavements, they can burn sensitive paw pads.
❄️ Provide plenty of shade and a cool place to rest.
🚗 Never leave pets in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always come first. If your dog has a grooming appointment today, please ensure they travel comfortably, stay well hydrated, and avoid vigorous exercise before arriving at the salon.
