What an incredible team a trainer and their clients can make! Having that trusted partnership makes a whole world of difference to our dogs. When you have that, anything is possible.
Our job as trainers is to provide the knowledge and the tools. Dog owners provide the training and the time. Together you become the dream team 👌😊 This is why I love what I do. The review below makes my heart so happy. Seeing a family reconnect is just the best feeling 🥰

"Nadean is incredible and I would definitely recommend her for any training needs or queries! We have a 4 year old Boston terrier who was the baby of our home. In February we welcomed our first baby in to the world and our dog stitch really struggled with this transition with lots of anxiety and behaviour regarding the baby at home. Scent Detection progression Update:

After 2 weeks of rest due to the soft tissue damage, Jasper was back on it, but this time we hid the hide completely out of sight, encouraging Jasper to use his nose. As you can see he trusted his nose and was able to indicate to me with confidence that he had located the scent. I am super proud of my boy 🥰

For those of you who are interested to know what we use for scent - its clove. This is the preferred scent we will use for competitions. Me personally, I love the smell - Jasper doesn't mind it either 😊

We do not use the clove directly. They're placed in a sealed jar with small velvet tabs (these are the size of a 5p piece). These tabs soak up the scent. We then stick the tabs to surfaces that are placed out of sight.

As Jasper progresses, and his confidence grows, these tabs will get smaller and smaller.

He is 3 months into his training and although he had a minor set back with his injury, he is doing really well. Watching him do scent work fills my heart as he loves nothing more 🥰😍

Jasper working on body resilience and strengthening due to sustaining soft tissue damage last weekend.
Having him sit, lie down, stand up and step up will build strength to his lower back, hips and back legs.
These exercises are particularly good for working breeds who have a lot of energy and are bouncy.
As you can see, he smashed it 💪👏❤️🥰

How well is this handsome boy doing 😍👏

He is learning to sit and stay, not an easy task for most. Especially when their human leaves the room.

Having your dog feel comfortable with staying put whilst leaving the room instills confidence and builds trust.

I think we can all agree that this boy looks very comfortable. So proud of them both. Excellent work 🥰👏
