I'm not a positive only trainer; I'm not FF. I use slip leads (albeit with a stopper buckle so they can't choke), I use Haiti's, I use muzzles. I use whatever tools I deem necessary to handle the dog in front of me in a way that is safe for myself and the other dogs in my care. I use the least aversive methods I can and focus more on bonding and trust and do what I can to keep dogs below threshold. I have excellent success rates and many, many heartwarming stories of rehabilitated reactive dogs. I'm a LIMA (least invasive, minimal aversive) trainer.

This guy, however, is a cruel, cruel man who does untold damage to individual dogs, and the dog training industry as a whole. His barbaric practices must be stopped, and his dangerous methods should never be allowed to reach an unsuspecting dog owner who are trying to do right by their animals. His social media channels should be deleted because he's making a lot of money for literally being a professional animal abuser!

This dog & his owner has been charged under the Dangerous Dogs Act (DDA) for being “dangerously out of control" in a public place. It was on a lead and didn't bite anyone. His punishment is mandatory castration, must be on lead and muzzled in public places for life, and cannot be sold or traded.

If a dog injures a person or guide dog, or **causes a person to fear they may be hurt**; they are defined as being “dangerously out of control” and are subject to DDA legislation. Being on a lead does not grant immunity to this law, nor does shouting 'it's ok, he's friendly'.

On lead and muzzled for life! For greeting a stranger too excitedly 😔 no life at all; this poor dog. There's no replacement for training, and no easy way out.

Why “canine courtesy” causes reactivity. Avoiding other dogs, especially in the early years, is absolutely what not to do with your fluffy buddies.

***Attention***

Blue Green Algae confirmed at Embsay reservoir. Very toxic to dogs; please don't walk there till it's cleared.

Also, it's already at Fewston rez, so best not to go there instead.

Lots of people commenting on this being a puppy farm, etc. which, while I do have my own opinions on (which I'll not voice here), the fact remains that these puppies have been stolen and are assuredly receiving worse care at the hands of criminals than their breeders.

These dogs have done nothing to deserve this and its them that need the help!
