🐾 Evening everyone,
I was planning on sharing some lovely grooms from last week, but first I’d like to touch on something important.
Please remember that groomers do not cancel appointments for fun. In fact, it’s one of the hardest phone calls we have to make. However, the safety and welfare of the dogs in our care will always come first.
With the extreme temperatures we’re currently experiencing, grooming can be very stressful for some dogs. Even with air conditioning in the salon, many dogs arrive already overheated and leave feeling warm too. It’s simply not always safe or fair to put them through a full grooming session in these conditions.
Let’s be honest – we’re all feeling a little grumpy in this heat, and our four-legged friends are no different! 🥵🐶
When we make the decision to cancel or postpone appointments, it doesn’t just affect our diary. We then have to work extra hours to rearrange bookings, lose income that helps pay our bills, and sometimes risk losing clients who may not understand that every decision is made with the dogs’ best interests at heart. ❤️
So please, if your groomer has to make that dreaded phone call, be kind. We promise we’re not doing it to inconvenience anyone – we’re doing it because we genuinely care about the health, comfort, and wellbeing of your beloved pets.
