🧲INTRODUCING PEMF (pulsed magnetic field therapy)🧲

Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy is a non-invasive, non-thermal treatment that involves delivering electromagnetic fields to promote healing in tissues.

Research supports PEMF treatment in animals for fractures (bone healing), pain, inflammation, wound healing, tissue healing, arthritis, and post-op rehab.

Excited to be offering this new treatment!

⭐️Weight shifting exercise ⭐️

Here’s Roxy demonstrating a simple, yet effective, weight shifting exercise. Standing square with her front paws on a raised surface shifts more weight to the hind legs, making the muscles engage more than they would on flat ground, which can lead to an increase in muscle strength, better proprioception, improved balance/ posture, and can also work on core strength💪

This exercise can be tailored in many subtle ways to increase the difficulty and suit the aims of the individual patient💪

Below are some signs of pain/discomfort to look out for in your dogs🐶

Dogs can express pain in many ways, some of which are more subtle and can progress to more obvious signs as the pain becomes worse/the issue becomes more chronic🐶

Untreated pain can lead to further compensatory issues due to impacting their posture and gait, as well as affecting their personality, happiness and behaviour🐶

Physiotherapy may benefit your pet by helping to relieve pain and discomfort through the use of manual therapies, electrotherapies and exercise regimes - feel free to get in touch!🐶

🐴🐶2024🐶🐴

A huge thank you to everybody that supported me last year, and who continue to support me and allow me to do what I love best🐾

Below are some of the beautiful animals I got to treat over 2024. Happy new year!🥳🫶🐾

❗️RAWHIDE❗️

POSSIBLY THE MOST DANGEROUS DOG TREAT ON THE PLANET!

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white “pure” look and remove the rancid smell. Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.

On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.
If that wasn`t bad enough they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Leave them in the shop or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away and then dispose in the bin!

🐾Meet the patient - REN🐾

Ren is the loveliest (and most talkative😉) German Shepherd! Ren has physio to help maintain comfort of his front legs due to previous lameness, as well as monitoring his back for compensatory issues 🐾

Ren loves to hold a conversation during his physio, as well as back chatting to his owners when they’re too slow on the treats!🤣🐾

If your dog has had previous lameness, physio may help! Get in touch📲
