I am seeing increasing cancellations but I am also turning people away when I think we are full.
I am a business and I try to accommodate as many as possible so to keep things running smoothly, I will be implementing this from 1st May 2026.

It was so lovely to see Sally this afternoon! She was so pleased to see me, I had lots of kisses 😘 She was one of my first customers and loved running around the hill with the others, I don’t like seeing them getting old but she has definitely done it gracefully 🐶🥰

Spring really arrived yesterday didn’t it? And then vanished again this morning. With the weather starting to warm up, adders will start to come out to warm up in the sun. They are lethargic and slow to move away until they’re fully warmed up, which means they may be more likely to bite instead.

Adders don’t generally bite unless they’re frightened, but they do sit out in the sun to bask and dogs have a habit of letting curiosity get the better of them!

If your dog gets bitten by an adder, this is what you need to do:

🐾 Try not to let your dog move. Snake venom in the tissues around the bite will hurt and swell, but venom in the blood stream can get to the organs. If you can, carry your dog. If that’s not possible, put them on the lead and encourage them to walk slowly. Movement can circulate the venom.
🐾 If it’s possible to do so safely, snap a quick picture of the snake. This is helpful to confirm it’s definitely an adder. Don’t go looking for the snake or get close though.
🐾 Call ahead to the vets to check they keep the anti-venom in. Not all vets do! Then get them there as quickly as you can.
🐾 It’s not generally recommended to apply anything to the bite, such as tourniquets or ice packs or compresses, and doing so just uses up precious time. Focus on getting to the vet instead.

A new dog walking law kicks into force from Wednesday morning - with all owners warned.

Dog owners are being warned they face huge financial penalties for alarming livestock while walking pooches up and down England and Wales.

The Dogs (Protection of Livestock) (Amendment) Act 2025 has been greenlit and rubber-stamped by the Labour Party government and it is set to update the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953.

It will come into effect on Wednesday 18 March 2026, the government said. The law now strengthens the tools available to police and the courts so they can respond more effectively when incidents happen.

The government said: "This change to the law is not about restricting dog walking. It is about making sure people can continue to enjoy the countryside while keeping livestock safe, protecting animal welfare and supporting the work farmers do every day."

The changes make it clear that attacking livestock is treated separately from worrying livestock. It extends the law to cover livestock worrying and attacks that take place on roads and paths and includes camelids (as llamas and alpacas are commonly farmed).

The new law also introduces a new defence for dog owners to exempt them from liability where the dog was in the charge of another person at the time of the offence without the owner’s consent, for instance if the dog was stolen.

Labour says the new legislation also introduces new powers allowing a court to order an offender to pay expenses associated with seizing and detaining a dog.

🚨 New law to protect farm animals

Stronger penalties for livestock worrying come into force today across Wales and England.

The Dogs (Protection of Livestock) (Amendment) Act 2025 includes:

🐑 Unlimited fines for dog attacks on livestock

🚓 Police having new powers to detain dogs and collect evidence

🛣️ Protection extended to roads and paths

🦙 Definition of livestock now includes camelids like alpacas and llamas

These changes aim to reduce the emotional and financial strain on farmers and protect rural communities.

Always follow the Countryside Code:

• Any dog is capable of livestock worrying - keep dogs on a lead around farm animals

• Be confident your dog will return on command - if in doubt keep on a lead

• Release your dog if you or they are threatened by livestock or horse to make it easier for you both to get to safety

• As a last resort a farmer can shoot a dog that is attacking or chasing livestock
