At Last!

Pleased to announce that, having had my hip replacement , I’m on the mend and finally allowed to drive and get back to work. Thank you all for your kind wishes of recovery! Hopefully ,this year, the only time off I take will be due to holidays! Many thanks to Lucy who is now running her own grooming business at Best Friends, Tain. She has gracefully stepped in and covered some of my clients whilst I’ve been off. Lucy is available to take on new customers at Best Friends. Please contact Lucy or I for any further appointments. We would like to welcome Lucy who will be operating her grooming business within Best Friends Grooming in Tain. Lucy is originally from Bonar Bridge . She has been based in Edinburgh for a number of years but has finally returned to the area. She will be self employed working from Best Friends Grooming. 1 Hartfield Street . Tain. IV19 1PB. Many of my clients know that I am unable to work at the moment. Groomers Claire and Lucy are now running their businesses from Best Friends Grooming in Tain. They have graciously said that they would be able to take on my clients meantime. Claire has been able to take on new clients as well as mine for a while now and Lucy will be available mid June. Thank you all for your lovely messages. They are much appreciated. Had consultation appointment in Raigmore yesterday. The consultant went over what had been done with my shoulder and what happens next. Unfortunately ,he informed me that I was unlikely to be ready to return to work before September. This means I need to postpone all my appointments up till then. I realise that my clients will have to try to get another groomer until I can return. Claire operates her own business from Best Friends Grooming in Tain and may be able to fit some appointments into her workload. Please contact her directly to try to arrange an appointment with her . Little update on progress of shoulder! Currently on passive physio , manually moving the joint. Should start strengthening exercises in the next 2 weeks. Unfortunately, the progress is very slow and return to work is further away than I’d hoped . We are now looking to be to work by end of May, beginning of June . All depending on what the physiotherapist and the consultant advise me to do. Again, many apologies to all !

Thanks to all my lovely friends for your get well wishes after my shoulder operation. With all going well I hope to be back at work by mid May. Of course, this will be dependant on the healing process and advice from the consultant and the physio department. Apologies to all I’ve not been able to contact directly for having to cancel grooming appointments . I’ll pop another message both on Facebook and in the shop window when I have more information about when I’m able to return to work. Thank you for your understanding.

Best Friends Grooming is very busy at the moment . We do have some good news in welcoming Claire, another qualified groomer, who will be working from the shop.
