Always good to know for those who’s dogs love to play ball

Many don’t know this information! Remember every second matters during a choking incident.
1. Place the dog on their back. Brace the back against the floor. Straddle the dog while adjusting yourself based on the size of the dog. Position the head in “in-line position” with the airway parallel to the floor.
2. Make an open diamond shape with your hands. Place your thumbs on either side of the trachea below the ball or object. Grip the “V” of the jaw using lip/cheek to protect fingers.
3. Push with a J-stroke down and out against the ball until it ejects from the mouth.
Both this method and the Heimlich method has been proven to work in these scenarios so don’t hesitate to save your dog.

This is why I love my job, I’m surrounded by countryside, the birds are in the trees singing their morning chorus, donkeys munching, the chickens clucking. For me it just feels like taking time out to breathe deeply and just enjoying being there in that peaceful moment. Best of all Joel loves it here too, there is no talk of computers or school or whatever fills his mind. Ive always loved seeing my children enjoying nature.

It’s been a busy year with home boarding , dog walking and grooming and all at the same time as the house has been extended and renovated but I can’t deny it’s been fun at times . I honestly think going out walking with the dogs each day has kept me sain ( debatable I know 😂) I really couldn’t imagine my life without the dogs love ♥️ as it’s coming closer to Christmas, the days are cooler the night are brrrrr but thankfully the house is nearly done and we finally have heating turned on, the dogs love laying on the rug and the warm
foor or cuddling up on the sofa. I can hardly wait to get the Christmas decorations up.!!
