A hat with a head torch is clearly essential now – night walks during dog home boarding are no joke! 🌙🔦
And of course a phone holder for filming is a must too 📱🎥 — because if it’s not recorded, did it even happen? 😂
Practical? ✅
Stylish? 🤔😂

Rae 🤍

I was meant to write Christmas wishes today 🎄
But I can’t.
Today, I want to use this space to honour Rae’s memory 🌈

When I received the news of your tragic passing, something inside me broke 💔
Because even though you were not “my” dog forever, you were a little bit mine.
Every dog that comes into my care leaves a piece of themselves behind… and takes a piece of my heart with them 🐾

You were gentle.
A little shy.
Always watching first, quietly checking whether the world was safe 🤍
And when you trusted me… you became the most wonderful, calm companion.
The kind that doesn’t need much — just to be close.

Today I feel as though I’ve lost one of my own dogs 💔
And that pain is very real.
Because love for dogs doesn’t end with a stay or a contract — it stays forever.

This Christmas 🎄 let’s pause for a moment.
Hold our dogs a little tighter 🤍
Tell them everything we don’t always say out loud.
And think of Rae… her gentleness, her eyes, her presence 🌈

My heart is with Rae’s owners 🤍
Who are walking through unimaginable loss during this Christmas time 🕯️
Please know you are not alone. Rae was deeply loved — by so many.

Run free, sweet girl 🌈🪽
And if there is a dog hotel somewhere over the Rainbow Bridge…

🏠🐶 LOOKING FOR A LOVING HOME FOR SIENA 🐶🏠
Location: Swindon, UK

Meet Siena – a lovely 2-year-old mixed breed girl, weighing around 10 kg, who’s looking for a calm and caring forever home ❤️

Siena is currently living with a family who gave her a chance for a better life. Unfortunately, due to a change in their life circumstances, they can no longer continue to care for her. We’re now looking for a responsible and loving person who can offer Siena the safety and attention she needs to thrive.

🌸 Spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped
🌸 Has a Polish passport and full medical documentation
🌸 Very well-behaved and obedient – loves playing with balls 🎾
🌸 She’s a bit timid – scared of loud noises, fireworks, shouting, and sudden movements (likely due to past trauma), but in a calm environment she opens up beautifully

🐕 She gets along well with other dogs – especially medium-sized, calm companions
🐈 Currently living with a cat – they coexist peacefully and tend to ignore each other

🥵 The heat is on, so we’re sticking to early morning and late evening walks 🌅🌙 But what a joy to welcome so many new furry faces for trial days at our cosy home dog hotel! 🐶❤️

I can’t wait for their upcoming stays – there’ll be no shortage of wagging tails and happy paws! 🐾💃

Our garden doggy pool 💦 is a hit in this weather – a perfect way to cool off and have some fun 🐕🌊

And of course, we’ve got our beloved regulars and friendly neighbours joining the fun 🐾💛

Thank you for your trust and for bringing your pups back to my little dog haven! 🏡🐾

Why do dogs live shorter lives than humans?
Here’s a surprising answer from a 6-year-old child 💭🐾

A friend of mine who is a veterinarian once told me a story.

“I was called to examine a ten-year-old German Shepherd named Astro 🐕. The dog’s owners and their little boy were very attached to Astro and were hoping for a miracle ✨.
I examined him and sadly found that he was dying of cancer 💔. I told the family there was nothing more we could do and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure at their home 🏡.
The owners agreed and said they thought their six-year-old son should be present to witness the dog’s passing.”

The next day, as we gathered around Astro, I felt that familiar tightness in my throat 😔. The little boy seemed very calm as he gently stroked Astro for the last time, and I wondered if he truly understood what was happening. Within minutes, Astro peacefully drifted off 🕊️.

The child seemed at peace. We sat together afterward, quietly pondering the sad reality that dogs live shorter lives than humans ⏳. Then the boy, who had been listening silently, spoke:
“I know why.” 🧠

Everyone turned to him, surprised. What he said next amazed me — I’d never heard a more comforting explanation 💞.

He said:
“People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life — like loving everyone and being kind, right?” ❤️
Then he continued,
“Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t need to stay as long as we do.” 🐶✨

Remember:
If a dog were your teacher, you’d learn things like:
• 🐾 When your loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
• 🚗 Never pass up the chance to go for a ride.
• 🌬️ Let the wind and fresh air fill your face with joy.
• 😴 Take naps.
• 🧘‍♂️ Stretch before getting up.
• ⚽ Run, romp, and play every day.
• 🐕‍🦺 Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
• 🌿 On warm days, lie on your back in the grass.
• ☀️ On hot days, drink lots of water and rest in the shade.
• 💃 When you’re happy, dance around and wag your whole body.
• 🚶‍♂️ Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
• 🐾 Be loyal.
• 🎭 Never pretend to be something you’re not.
• 🪓 If what you want is buried, dig until you find it.
• 🤗 When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close, and gently nuzzle them.

That’s the secret to happiness — lessons we can all learn from a dog 💛🐾

If you love dogs, you know one thing – nothing will ever change that love ❤️🐾
They can love a human more than they love themselves 🐶💞 They’re more loyal than many people 🤎 That’s the magic of my job – being surrounded every day by this pure, unconditional love 💖🐕

It’s the most beautiful therapy – little paws, wagging tails, and wet noses 🐾🦴👃
