It’s been a little quieter here at JLH over the holidays while we’ve enjoyed time with family, but we were so happy to get the horses out for an outing yesterday! 🐴✨

We’re excited to get back into the swing of things and look forward to the season ahead with Spirit. There’s lots to look forward to! 🩵🐎

Heather is off to her new home in Devon. We are really going to miss this pretty girl but we are delighted that she has found her person. We are so excited for their future together 🩷

🏡 Uncle Bob is off to his new home today! 🏡

We’re so pleased to see him starting this exciting new chapter with his new owner. We wish them both many happy times and wonderful memories together.

We’ll certainly be looking forward to seeing updates and following along with his adventures in his new home! 😃❤️

Appointments during the hot weather ☀️

As we are set to have some extreme heat in the next week we are making arrangements to move forward appointment times and reschedule where necessary.

We are reaching out to those with appointments booked to reschedule to ensure safe conditions for both your animals and yourselves as it’s going to get very hot.

We would like to take this opportunity to share some basic tips for keeping your animals safe in hot weather:

🐴 regularly hosing your horses down and leaving the water on help them to stay cool, along with ensuring they have constant access to plenty of water and shade if possible.

🐶 if taking your dog for a walk is something they can’t go without, ensure you do this very early in the morning where possible. The evenings are going to be very warm and tarmac pavements etc hold their heat for a long time. Walking your dog during the day must be avoided, and constant access to water is an absolute necessity.

🐴 if you are planning to work your horse, shortening their exercise session and reducing the intensity will help to prevent overheating and heat exhaustion

🐶 to keep your dog entertained and cool, you can make a frozen treat using a lick mat with your dogs favourite topping

‼️SOLD‼️Sunday Sinatra - 16.1 chestnut gelding 3 years old. Injury free. Blank canvas. Ran 8 times. Last raced was in April. Since then he’s been out in the field having some down time. Lovely horse on the ground. Really sweet and loves a fuss. No stable vices. £2k no offers. Based Swindon.

‼️SOLD ‼️Uncle bob - 16.1 bay gelding 4 year old. Injury free. Lightly trained. Raced once but was not a racehorse. He got pulled up in the race as was too slow. This was in April. Since then he’s been out on the grass having some down time. Complete blank canvas ready for someone to put their stamp on. Really lovely horse with no vices. £2k no offers. Based Swindon.

Spirit having a go at second rounds at Parwood Equestrian Centre last weekend. Unlucky pole but he jumped his socks off. Couldn’t be prouder!
