Sue's 4 Legged Friends

Sue's 4 Legged Friends Pet sitting and dog walking Sue’s 4 Legged Friends is dog walking and petsitting service owned and run by Sue Willmott.

I offer a friendly, local service dedicated to providing the best care for your pets. I am a Registered National Petsitter through NARP (National Association of Registered Petsitters) and have £5 million Public Liability Insurance cover. My services include: -
Dog Walking
This service will help to ensure that your dog receives the necessary physical activity to become fit, healthy and happy. The

standard lengths of walks are 30 minutes or 1 hour, but feel free to request a longer walk if preferred. I carry my own waste bags and muddy paws will be wiped and water refreshed before leaving your dog safe and content in your home. I offer a tailor made service to suit you and fit in to your life style, whether you prefer your dog/dogs to be walked alone or with other dogs (max. 3 at a time from the same household). Walks will be adapted to the age, fitness and safety of your dog to ensure their well being is priority. At the end of my walk with your best friend, I can supply a GPS map of our walked route, distance walked and time out walking and a photograph of your dog enjoying the walk. These are sent to your Smartphone or computer. Pet Sitting
While you’re away on holiday, at work, in hospital or even out for the day, relax in the knowledge that your furry friends will be well cared for. Pet sitting is provided in the comfort of your own home, allowing your pets to remain in the environment they know and love. Visits may be once, twice, three times daily, or as needed. Pet sitting services may include the feeding, cleaning of litter trays, hutches, playtime, cuddles or a walk plus any other specific services you may require for the comfort and well-being of your pet. I always check water and refresh as required. I will also pick up any post, turn lights on and off as needed, draw curtains, water your plants and put bins out, as required. Perfect for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals. Our Pet visiting service is also suitable if you have a puppy, kitten, elderly dog or perhaps a pet recovering from an operation who would just like some company while you are away or at work. I offer a free consultation to meet you and your pet(s) before starting services. The consultation will take place at your home, at a time and date that is convenient to you. To schedule a free consultation please ring 07872641907

As the clocks go back (Sunday 30th October) and daylight hours dwindle, Dogs Trust is offering advice to dog owners to help prevent road accidents when out walking their dogs in the evening or early morning...

- Keep control of your dog and don’t let him off lead unless you are in a safe area which is well lit

- Consider wearing high visibility clothing such as jackets, vests or reflective strips on your clothes so you can be easily seen by motorists.

- A reflective collar and lead or a high visibility coat or flashing collar will also increase your dog’s visibility in the dark.

- Perhaps work out a winter dog walking route which, in urban areas, includes both pavements and areas with street lighting.

- If there is no pavement, walk against the flow of the traffic and keep your dog on the side farthest from the road.

- Carry a torch which will help you be seen and also enable to you see to pick up your dog’s mess. Or, consider a head torch so your hands are free.

- Walking in groups can be safer than on your own.

- If possible, take your dog in the car to a place where you can walk away from the roadside. Many parks and sports fields have lighting but always check that dogs are allowed first.

- Make sure your dog is well trained and responsive to commands.
