Sad day yesterday,
Rosie finally gave up her fight one month away from her 15th Birthday.
They are all special but Rosie especially so.
She owed me nothing,I owed her everything.
We had some great shooting days and holidays.
Heartbroken doesn’t even touch it.
Rest easy ❤️

Just started Sybil on the stop whistle,
There’s no right and wrong way, as soon as she acknowledges the whistle she’s rewarded, the delay for reward is extended until I give the next command !

Update on Sybil,
I always want to get my spaniels happy and enjoying retrieving so no pressure on presentation, however good association with the placeboard and good retrieve drive,happy with work in progress 👍

Update on Ruby,
Used placeboards from the off and seem to be helping,neither retrieve were perfect, 1st didn’t go on her name, 2nd overshot placeboard,however more than happy for 4 1/2 months 👍

We always knew this year would be hard.
Sadly we lost Elsie today.
What a kind and gentle soul, never pushed boundaries or tested my patience,worked her socks off,never a days trouble.
Her memory will live on with daughters Izzy and Amber and granddaughters Jess and Ruby.

Training has started, recall whistle has been acknowledged and not a bad response for 13 and 15 weeks ❤️
