What the hell is going on with these dog charities. Unless I want an imported one from Europe it’s seems impossible to adopt one in the UK . They either never get back to you or their criteria is impossible to meet . As a home dog boarder fully licensed I would have thought I ticked all the boxes . I will probably just go and purchase a puppy .

This is breaking our hearts… Every day, 12-year-old Rocky watches people walk past his kennel, hoping that today might finally be his turn.

At his age, he shouldn’t be sleeping on a kennel floor. He should be snuggled on a sofa, taking gentle walks, dozing in the sunshine, and feeling the love and security every dog deserves in their twilight years.

Rocky is a truly wonderful soul. He’s gentle, affectionate, toilet trained, and all he wants is to be close to people. Sadly, kennel life is becoming harder for him, and our hearts ache knowing he’s spending his golden years waiting.

Please don’t let this beautiful old boy grow old in kennels.

Hello world. My name is Bailey, I am approximately 11 years old . I am very friendly, lots of love and affection to give. 💙 World Drowning Prevention Day 💙

With the hot weather continuing, many of us head to rivers, lakes and the beach with our dogs to help them cool down. But while water can be a great way to beat the heat, it can also be incredibly dangerous.

🐾 Dogs can drown too.

Please help keep your dog safe by:
💦 Never forcing them into water.
🦺 Using a dog life jacket if they're swimming or on a boat.
🌿 Avoiding fast-flowing rivers, deep water and steep banks.
🟢 Keeping them away from blue-green algae, which can be deadly.
🐕 Supervising them at all times and ensuring they can get out of the water safely.
💧 Taking plenty of fresh drinking water so they don't drink from lakes or rivers.

A few simple precautions could save your dog's life.

Please stay safe, stay cool and help spread awareness this World Drowning Prevention Day.
