A very very happy 4th birthday to the resident spanner and complete feral princess, Coco. Commonly called Coco beans, Coco nibs, chocoloco, Cocoloco, beans 🫘 you’re a true spaniel, do first and never think later! Water obsessed and ball obsessed! But not so obsessed that you’re willing to drop them in the river and look at me stupid while it floats away and will not listen to any directions from me and go full self employed trying to find the ball … in the wrong direction. We’ve lost 5 last week … 1 a day 🫠😂 🙊 not counting the many she’s lost since she joined walks. She even loses my ones … and finds stray ones somehow and favours them? It’s like she thinks they grow on a ball tree 💸💸💸💸 when Coco first started with me, she was very shy and scared of other dogs because she was attacked a few times. A dog would walk past her and she’d squeal in fear and anticipation. Now …. She goes up to them for kisses, does a little flirty flirt and then walks amazing with them. I’d like to thank all my other dogs for being so well behaved and showing her she doesn’t need to be scared ❤️ I love the greeting I get, without fail, when picking her up. She can’t wait for her mum to open the door and practically squeezes her little face through the gap and goes full belly dancer mode 🥰 we have kisses and cuddles all the time, she’s the reason I’m so dirty all the time 😂🤣😂 I’ve accepted it and there’s no stopping the love 🥰 Happy birthday Coco, I hope you at least take a break from losing my balls … 🎾 💸 ❤️

🐶 S E R I O U S P O S T 🐶

Please, please, be kind to your dogs in this weather. They do not need a walk, and they will not die from missing a walk for a few days.

🥵 If you cannot bear to put your bare foot on the floor, that means the floor/tarmac/concrete temperature is too hot for them. You will burn their pads and cause serious pain.

🥵 Heat stroke strikes quickly. What can seem like normal panting, can rapidly change into a medical emergency. Having nursed dogs with heatstroke I can tell you its horrific. Watching a dog fail in front of your eyes because you cant bring its temperature down sensibly is no joke. Older dogs, brachycephalic breeds, overweight dogs and those with very thick coats are even more at risk.

🥵 Provide plenty of shady areas if they want to be outdoors and put beds, swimming pools in these areas. Mine love ice cubes with fruit in them as a way of keeping them hydrated.

Please be sensible, your dogs will thank you for it. ❤️

A massive happy 3rd birthday to BABY BOY Kuro 🥹🥹 we’ve had loads of adventures now, the first one being I got to check in on you when you and your siblings were first born 😭🥹 a memory I will cherish forever!!! 🥹🥰 you are such a lover boy, and I mean LOVER BOY!!! My favourite times are before and after walks when you come to me for cuddles and the softest kisses 🙊🥰🫠 Complete softie and you always make me laugh! Yesterday it was because you sniffed a bush, a bird flew out and you 💩 yourself 🙊🫠 big boy like you 💩 yourself at a teeny tiny birdie 🥹🙊 i love you and Sisu even when I’m being rugby tackled by you both when i come to see you (it’s the best feeling 🙊🤣🥰) I remember when your longline broke off your collar on the beach and we both froze because you hadn’t realised you were free 🙊 thankfully you’re such a good boy you came back 🫠🤣 I remember when you walked into a lamp post … many times because you just don’t look where you’re going 🙊🤣 and I remember the first car ride you took with me when you were old and big enough for adventures and you screamed the entire time because I’d kidnapped you from your mum 🙊 thankfully now I think you love me just as much as I love you ❤️❤️❤️ ps you’re staying 3 years old now forever k thanks 😭❤️

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY 🍯❤️ today is Honeybuns birthday ❤️ your big sister Nala would be proud of the amazing dog you are ❤️ she’s the absolute definition of a goldie girl… she’s happy, she’s d***y, she’s hilarious, she’s bouncy, she’s always always up for anything and just a 10/10 good girl all the time. You’ve gone from nervous on our first walk to knowing every route we go on, leading the way, checking where I am and always staying close to me (she’s a girls girl 😛💁‍♀️💁‍♀️) she loves every dog she meets but is also so polite and calm whenever I introduce anyone new or we come across the general public and their doggos. Life would definitely be boring without you in it, and I’m so glad you’re now one of my pups that I get to see all the time 🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️

BRYN TURNS 5!!!! 🎁 Bryn (Brynie as we like to say 🤣) spent his birthday having a fun adventure day with a few of the Finley’s Friends gang, and his bro Finley of course. He’s run, played, run some more, played some more and had some specials in his din dins as a b day treat ❤️

A big Finley’s Friends welcome to walkies life to Ozzy, Ozman, ozinator, sharkbait, piranha boy ❤️ he’s Cariads little bro and if you’ve seen the stories over the last few days, everyone’s obsessed 🤣 I am obsessed. He’s super confident, happy, biddable and just everything a wild puppy should be! Busy he’s also SO SWEET and just scrumptious. He’s met a few of the big dogs, and was fantastic, polite but once given the green light by them turned on his WWE personality 😂 the big doggos have been amazing with him too. Very patient and gentle. I obviously made sure that the dogs he’s mixed with are either social enough and stable to deal with him, or neutral and comfortable around puppies so everyone involved has good experiences. It’s good he learns from calmer dogs at this stage and I would never want to subject a dog to a puppy if I know they won’t enjoy the interaction❤️ everyone’s well being and happiness is the main thing ❤️
