Hey 👋
How's everyone doing?

I'm missing all the beautiful doggies loads, but also enjoying my new job.

I've had lots of people struggling to get their dog booked in with a groomer, so I've decided to open up a few appointments over a few days in December while I'm on a half term.

These appointments will be on a first come basis and will only be for dogs that were regulars of mine.

I've got a few appointments available on 20th / 21st / 28th / 29th December.

If you would like an appointment please let me know.

I have had the most amazing 6 years grooming your dogs but now the time has come to move on to new adventures and possibilities.

I have the most AMAZING customers 🥰 and I honestly think of every dog as my own. I'm truly grateful for every single recommendation and all the support that I've been given over the years and I've absolutely loved getting to know all your dogs.

I've made some lovely friends that I hope to stay in touch with. I'll be honest, it's really hard to write this post, it's been an emotional day, well an emotional few weeks really, I'm really, really going to miss seeing your dogs every day, I'll miss watching the the naughty, playful puppies grow in to big, confident dogs, I'll miss the hugs, the licks and I'll miss the stories from the hoomans 😊, I'll miss the dogs with the quirky personalities, I'll even miss the ones that want to bite my hands off 🙈.

Thank you all for your support and understanding in my decision, thank you for the hugs, the words of encouragement and the faith that you've all shown when you heard what I'll be doing ❤️ and thank you for the cards, the flowers, the prosecco, the gin, the chocolates and other gifts 🎁 I've been truly spoilt.

Practically pawfect would not be the successful business it is without my supportive, loving family and friends and the best supportive customers. Thank you for keeping me busy for the last 6 years 🙏 ❤️ 💖

I hope you all find someone who loves your doggies nearly as much as I do 😜🥰

Just a quick reminder.
My last day of work is 30th August. If you have an appointment for August it still stands. If you no longer need your appointment please let me know. I am working longer days and my days off to fit as many dogs in as possible.
Please cancel unwanted appointments. Missed appointments will still incur a charge.

Following on from my last post 😭 lots of people have asked for last minute appointments. I was taking a few days break this week but have decided to open on Friday to try and squeeze a few dogs in that might be in need.

So a few appointments are available for Friday 5th August.

Please message if you would like an appointment. This is the only date in August that I will now have availability for.

BUSINESS CLOSURE 🐶

It is with a very heavy heart that I have decided to close my business 😭

I will be open as normal throughout August and will begin a new career In September. I'm fully booked throughout August, I'm even working through my holiday to be able to squeeze as many in as possible. If I get any cancellation appointments I will post them on this page.

This has been the hardest decision I have had to make. But for the benefit of myself and my family it's something that I have to do.

I would like to take this opportunity to THANK every single one of you for your support, your recommendations, your loyalty and your trust. Without you I wouldn't have this little business for the last 6 years. I'm really going to miss all the doggies and thier owners, many have become very good friends over the years. Please note that this decision has not been taken lightly.

I have been personally messaging you for almost a week now but as I'm sure you can imagine it's a very long process and I still have a few people to message directly. Some of you I will see over the next week or so.

There's always the possibility that I can come back to grooming in the future. But for now it's come to an end.

How are all the fur babies doing? 🥵 it's ridiculously hot today and predicted to get hotter tomorrow. I personally love the autumn 🍂 I've never been good with the heat 😭. Remember curtains closed, fans on ( a bowl of ice In front of fan helps), lots of water, a cool towel or mat and absolutely no walks until the temperature drops 🌡

This is what happens when you take your dog out in scorching temperatures 🌡would you know how to treat this? Would you pay the vet bill and explain WHY this happened? There is absolutely NO excuse what so ever to take your dog out in these high temperatures. Do u know the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke? Do you know the symptoms? Or how to treat it? Do you know how long you have before heat stroke becomes FATAL!!!!?
Not knowing the answers to these questions could cost your dog its life.

Keep your beloved family pet inside, with curtains closed and keep a fan on, allow toilet breaks but make sure they have a shaded area in the garden, remember that artificial grass gets very hot too. Provide cold treats I.e frozen fruit / veg / dental sticks. Avoid ice cube treats though. Your dogs body temperature is already higher than yours and it will rise quicker than yours too. Make sure there is plenty of water down and refresh it through the day. These are very BASIC measures!!!

And finally DO NOT WALK YOUR DOG.
