With competition season in full flow the last few months have been extremely busy with Horseboxes flying out to Ireland to get certified.
Here at Hooves ‘n’ Homes we are able to help make the process easy and stress free for you!

As an International groom regularly travelling horses around the world for almost 3 decades I know better than anyone that we all want things doing asap 🤣
But please be aware, when wanting your lorry certifying it can take anything from 3 days to 3 months to process!! A bit like sending off for a new passport when you’ve suddenly decided you want to go on holiday!!

The first step is to make sure that you have your Type 2 Certificate of Competance. This is to ensure the welfare of your horses in your care whilst travelling.
There are several companies that do this but I recommend

Once you have this certificate it makes the process a lot quicker to put through and sort.

Amazing results all year for the phenomenon that is Quinn G ❤️

Solero has the very important job of taking care of the precious cargo she has on board with one of Quinn’s Embryo’s ❤️🥰😍😍

The Danish bred Quinn G recaptured her title as the World Young Horse Champion at the 2024 World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo on 8 September 2024. Under owner Fiona Bigwood the chestnut mare enthused the judges and crowds in the concluding class of a fabulous competition.

What a summer of fun!

So many shows with so many wonderful families and their amazing horses and ponies 🦄❤️

It’s been a dream helping Isla Sully and the wonderful V, a grooms perfect horse to take care of, so much love ❤️

Darcey Blaze Marcus and her wonderful ponies; Ella ensured I rapidly became a pro at getting stains out of her white coat!! 😂

What a lucky groom I am to have helped the fabulous Gray family and the superstar that is George Clooney at the Pony European Championships who topped the Team test, came a very close Silver in the Individual and then brought home an emotional Gold in the Freestyle. 🥇🥇🥈

A couple of weeks at home and then came along Paris Paralympics where our 🇬🇧 Team brought us home another haul of medals 🥈🥉 Absolute rockstars! 🦄❤️

My final Show of the year was at the weekend with George Clooney BS who hit the winning spot once more at the LeMieux British Dressage Nationals Championships 🦄❤️
I have so much love for this pony and I’m super proud of what him and Abigail have achieved during their time together ❤️ Absolute legends 🦄
Georges next family are truly going to be very lucky to have this superstar in their stable, I’m happy for someone to buy him for me, I may be a bit too old for pony classes though!! 😂😂🙈

An unexpected post Paris interview took place for Horse & Country TV, so look out for that one!! You’ll be sure to see hay in my hair! 😂

A big shout out to our other fabulous U21 Chef d’Equipe Tom Hobday who came to my rescue yesterday when I had some weird pain thing going on and helped make George ready for prize giving. I promise I wasn’t just trying to get out of going to Prize Giving in the rain!!
I’m slightly envious that you nailed those flag bandages first time!!! I still can’t do that 😂😂 You are a star and it was very much appreciated ❤️

I have hit the ground running since being back from Paris Paralympics!
A few hours sleep before being back on the school run and doing all the catch up washing and cleaning!
Then back to my fantastic home yard that I take care of, to then a quick trip to the British Dressage Nationals Championships that were held at Somerford Park Farm 01260299888 to give a talk with one of our fantastic Under 21’s Chef d’Equipe .
I’m hoping that the students from South Staffordshire College enjoyed our input and are now inspired to follow their dreams within the Equestrian world. We wish them lots of luck for the future 🙂
