For those that don’t know him, here’s the wonderful Kentero. 😍 169cm of pure beauty!
Always grateful to Gestut Wiesenhof for providing such lovely characters with perfect rideability 🥰
At only 7 years old Kentero is teaching Skye the ropes and making her transition from ponies to horses and from Show Jumping to Dressage seamless! 😍
An absolute heart horse❤️
After a couple of months of getting to know each other it’s time to move forward. After not seeing much of the world Kentero is taking everything we quietly put at him in his stride. Here’s a snippet of Skye’s lesson when we went on a road trip to Sarah Higgins. Here Skye is learning to find new gears and having a go at counter canter for the first time ever.

Please ensure when having your horse or pony clipped that you please present them clean. Preferably bathed clean and dry.
Wet, dirty, poo stained horses are put in extreme discomfort when clipped like that and also kill clipper blades! 🙂

Plaiting and trimming is also available. 💕

I can’t believe the 2025 International competition season is over for me already!
Due to lots of things going on at home and with Jessie starting High School, my competition time has been limited, but once again I’ve been privileged to help the wonderful Gray family and I have witnessed Abigail take her first season on horses by storm.
I’m truly grateful to have once again set foot on the hallowed Aachen showground and I couldn’t be more proud than to watch Abigail and Pie Trot around the huge arena at Aachen. I was then lucky enough to join them at the Europeans and watch them come home with Team Bronze 🥉
What a wonderful bunch of riders that made such a great team together.
Finally last weekend finished off with a visit to The National Championships. It’s always great to catch up with everyone and cheer all my friends on. Apologies to anyone I didn’t manage to say hi to!

Sadly I missed the Europeans with the lovely Para team as it landed on exactly the same week Jessie started High School but I managed to keep up to date while I was home and what a bunch of superstars 🌟🌟

As always, I’m extremely grateful to everyone who asks me to take care of their beautiful horses at home and at competitions ❤️

It’s been far too long since I posted on my Hooves n Homes page but no fear I’m still here working away!
This news I do have to share though…. Our British Junior Riders have just won a Team Bronze Medal! Super proud of this fabulous quartet who made us all proud 🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️

With competition season in full flow the last few months have been extremely busy with Horseboxes flying out to Ireland to get certified.
Here at Hooves ‘n’ Homes we are able to help make the process easy and stress free for you!
Whether you just want advice, if you need an Agent, if you would like to take your own lorry or hire one of our super experienced drivers then we are here for you every step of the way with our friendly and no obligation service.
No matter what your requirements you will be greeted with a friendly and knowledgeable team 🚛

As an International groom regularly travelling horses around the world for almost 3 decades I know better than anyone that we all want things doing asap 🤣
But please be aware, when wanting your lorry certifying it can take anything from 3 days to 3 months to process!! A bit like sending off for a new passport when you’ve suddenly decided you want to go on holiday!!

The first step is to make sure that you have your Type 2 Certificate of Competance. This is to ensure the welfare of your horses in your care whilst travelling.
There are several companies that do this but I recommend

Once you have this certificate it makes the process a lot quicker to put through and sort.

I’ll also attach the guidelines of what your Horsebox will need to pass the testing. You will find the link in my comments :-)

Gills Driving School provides both licence acquisition training and Advanced driver training nationally and internationally as well as Driver CPC training.
