JOB OPPORTUNITY

**Job Title: Kennel Assistant (Part-Time) x2

**Job Type:** Part-time (4 hours per day, including weekends and bank holidays.

**Job Summary:**
The Kennel Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the care and well-being of dogs in our facility. This position involves providing daily care, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with various tasks to create a safe and healthy environment for the dogs.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Feed, water, and administer medication to the dogs, as well as exercise them according to their specific needs.
- Clean and maintain kennel and communal areas to ensure hygiene and safety.
- Monitor the health and behavior of the animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with bathing, brushing, and grooming of the dogs as needed.

**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Animal care diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in animal care or a kennel setting is preferred.
- comfortable and experienced in handling various breeds, sizes and behaviours of dogs and understand their needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, veterinarians, and the public.
- Attention to detail to monitor the dogs' health and behavior closely.
- Physical fitness is essential, as the role involves heavy lifting, walking, and being on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the well-being of all dogs in our care.
