Collecting fresh tortoise food in the evening yesterday to post first thing today and this was the view when I stopped to have a cool drink :)

If you recieve your fresh food while the temps are so high be sure to get it into the fridge to keep it as fresh as possible, it's really like storing bagged salad we buy for us to enjoy.

I have to look every where for extra space to grow healthy, chemical free tortoise food and vertical spaces like fences get well used! :) all of these plants were grown in my poly tunnel from seeds or cuttings and the compost was made here too. Nothing but the best for my tortoise customers :)

Naughty squirrels have been visiting again! This was a tray of fairly established mini sunflower seedlings, I like to have some late ones to pop into gaps to give fresh tortoise food later in the summer. The squirrels seemed to think I didn't need them so they could nibble them and play with them!

I have been selling my healthy home grown tortoise food for several years on eBay but now I am semi retired and I have more time I am looking at ways to get this food to you in a way that is more cost effective for everyong, including me. Watch this space for info as the first trial of a different selling method will be based around Facebook! My fresh food is great for all pet tortoise and is much better for them than processed stuff.
