Our puppy course has been designed to build strong foundations whilst developing a strong connection with your pup. From loose lead walking, settle and recall with lots more in between, we cover it all. 🐶

Classes are held in The Studio Glusburn Institute - Community and Arts Centre for 5 weeks

Cost of course £99
Time 🕣 7.30-8.30pm

*Puppies need to be fully vaccinated and under 26 weeks when the course starts*

Classes run by two qualified and accredited trainers with small groups of no more than 4 per class! Positive reinforcement methods only

🐾Clients gain access to exclusive discounts from brands such as LickiMat Butternut Box ANCO, plus lots more
🐾 Dedictaed Whatsapp Group and client only Facebook Group
🐾All behaviours taught in class are followed up with handouts.

Over the next few days temperatures are excepted to remain warm and dogs can overheat quickly.

Walk dogs in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cooler. No dog has died from missing a walk but they do die from walking in the heat.

If you think your dog is overheating wet them and then call us for more advice.

⭐️🎓 Puppy Foundations Graduation 🎓⭐️

Last night was Graduation for this absolutely smashing group of pups and dedicated owners!

From pups cautiously entering class a few weeks ago to them last night literally bouncing through the doors excited to come to training!

We've seen them grow in confidence through coming to puppy class and it's been lovely to see their progression from Week 1 to Week 5. Another lovely thing we get to see as trainers is the flourishing bonds that happen naturally between pups and owners through positive training! 💜💚🧡

Our Puppy Foundations group were smashing it out of the park in this weeks session!

They all must have really enjoyed their first week in class last week as they all came bouncing through the door last night...and that folks is how positive associations work 😉🐾

Next up this week was week 2 of our adolescents course!
This is a new course launched this year for any puppies that have graduated from our puppy courses to progress onto.
We saw some lovely progression and connections during this week's session 🐾

First class this week was our Puppy Foundations group! 🐾
It was Puppies first week in class this week and we got started with Eye Contact Training

If you have their eyes, you have their ears 😉

They all did so very well in a new environment with new people, new puppies, sights, sounds and smells and still all stayed very engaged with their owners for training!

If it doesn’t feel right — it probably isn’t.

I heard something today that turned my stomach.

A young, frightened rescue dog — already trying her best to navigate our overwhelming human world — was subjected to harsh, forceful handling in the name of “training.” Equipment used not for safety, but for fear. Pressure applied not to guide, but to control. It left her bruised. Physically, emotionally… and in all likelihood, for a very long time.

And the worst part? Her guardians didn’t know. They were told this was normal. That this is what had to be done to “fix” her. They trusted a “professional.” They were desperate for help. And I don’t blame them — not one bit.

Because here’s the uncomfortable truth:

Dog training and behaviour is completely unregulated.
Anyone can set up shop. Anyone can take your money.
And far too often, our dogs pay the highest price.

Please, please… if something doesn’t feel right — speak up.
If you’re told to do something to your dog that you wouldn’t do to a child, a partner, or even a stranger — it is not okay.
If someone tells you that pain, fear, or intimidation is necessary to teach — it isn’t.

There is a better way.
A kinder, gentler, and far more effective way.

A way that works with your dog, not against them.
A way that builds confidence instead of fear.
That supports relationship instead of control.

You and your dog deserve that.
And if you’re ever unsure — reach out. Ask questions. Seek second opinions.
Your dog’s voice may be small, but it matters deeply. And so does yours.
