Another sad loss this month 😓💔 this is Dudley, he had the nasty C word but lived longer than expected which I’m sure his owners were grateful for ❤️‍🩹

If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever 🥰

RIP lovely boy xx

Good morning,

Due to the excessive heat forecast, I may need to reschedule some days, as it’s too dangerous for the doggies in these temperatures. Although I now have an air‑conditioning unit downstairs, the bathroom becomes extremely hot when I am washing and drying them.

I will monitor how things go this Friday using the air‑conditioning and a fan during bathing and drying, and I will update you accordingly.

Thank you,
Gemma

Good afternoon.

This morning I was informed by a client that their missed appointment was due to not receiving a reminder. I want to clarify that while I occasionally (more often than not) sent reminders as a courtesy, it is ultimately each clients responsibility to keep track of their own appointments.

I understand that unexpected situations happen, but I am not able to manage individual diaries, and reminders cannot be guaranteed.

I also want to acknowledge that phone communication can be challenging for me as I have autism, and I appreciate patience and respect during calls. I always do my best to provide clear information, but I cannot continue conversations where I am being spoken to in a raised aggressive manner. This conversation left me upset and visibly shaking.

As a single parent managing a long-term health condition and supporting two children with additional needs, I work hard to ensure my service remains professional and reliable. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation moving forward.

Please ensure your appointment is noted in your personal diary or calendar. I understand mistakes are made as I do also sometimes forget to write things down but mistakes happen.

Many thanks

Gemma

Another sad loss who went by the name of Cooper 😢 he was a perfect little companion and loved the beach 🏖️ grooming wasn’t his favourite ‘game’ but he always accepted his fate 🙈 then when his owners came to collect him he would shake off his stress and trot away so happy which was nice to see 😀

RIP Cooper xx

More sad news ❤️‍🩹 lost another clients doggy, sweet Bobbie. She was a special little girl and another I had groomed for many years. She was always so happy to see me and gave lots of kisses, even after she went blind she remembered she was safe with me.

Rest in peace Bobbie xx

This is my favourite photo of her 🥰

She’s now back with her friend Snapper in doggy heaven (who’s my cover photo) xx

Hi everyone,

I’m really sorry to say there’s been another unexpected change. A few days before Christmas I was informed that I can no longer work at the premises I’m currently using, as my business is based on someone else’s sovereign property.

I’m now in the process of moving the business to my own home in Milton Heights. This wasn’t what I had hoped for — I really wanted to stay in Sutton Courtenay to remain close to my children’s school and so that my bather, Rhiannon, could continue working with me.

If the move goes ahead, I will be working alone on weekdays. This will mean I can take on fewer dogs per day, and unfortunately I won’t be able to groom heavier dogs without an extra pair of hands.

This whole situation has been extremely difficult, and it’s the reason I’ve been quiet and slower to respond to messages. I’m truly sorry for that.

I’ll update everyone as soon as I have full confirmation.

I’m really hoping 2026 brings more stability and a fresh start. For my Sutton Courtenay clients who don’t drive, I will be offering a collection and drop‑off service to help make things easier.

I’m so sorry for yet another change of address — it’s been incredibly hard on my end too.

Take care, and wishing you all a very happy New Year 🥳
Here’s to a brighter 2026.

Gemma
