LOST DOG WILLOW UPDATE
(Update // Willow is FOUND 13/11/24)
As with all lost dog tracking, results are slow & steady, but we are pleased to say we are making positive progress.
The team have now triangulated Willow's 'path', meaning they have managed to plot the route Willow is repeatedly taking, which is crucial for knowing exactly where to fly drones & place traps.
Triangulation is determined by mapping reported sightings, backed up by CCTV requests & strategically placing field cameras. Every day the field camera footage is reviewed & if there isn't a sighting, the position is moved. This continues until positive footage is captured & the 'loop/path' is understood. Further verified by tracking paw prints & analysing droppings.
The path can be manipulated by laying trail mix on the route to lure the hungry missing dog in the direction you require (away from dangerous roads & towards the trap).
Best of all, Lauren had eyes on Willow last night while she was on static stake out. So now all of the pieces of the puzzle are in place, it is a waiting game to catch little Willow & in the meantime pray she isn't spooked & moved on.
