Here's a few of the lovely pups I've had the pleasure of grooming recently! 🐶✨

For everyone who has been asking — I'll still be working at the shop right through until Christmas. 🎄 After Christmas, I'll be continuing to work there one day a week, possibly two, into the new year alongside growing The Pups Parlour mobile grooming business. 🚐💜

💨 A closer look at the blaster in The Pups Parlour! 🐶🚐

One of the most important parts of the grooming process is making sure every dog is dried thoroughly and comfortably.

✨ My blaster has:
🌡️ A heat and cool setting – so on warmer days I can switch to the cooler setting to help keep your dog comfortable.
⚙️ Variable speed settings – allowing me to adjust the airflow to suit each individual dog, whether they prefer a gentler dry or need a little more power for a thick coat.
🐾 A removable nozzle – giving me the flexibility to use concentrated airflow where needed or a softer, wider airflow for dogs that are more sensitive.

Every dog is different, so being able to tailor the drying process helps create a calmer, more comfortable grooming experience. 💜

💜 A little bit of poodle appreciation! 🐩✨

Meet the beautiful Suzy! She came to The Pups Parlour for her pamper, and she was an absolute dream from start to finish. Such a sweet girl who was so well behaved throughout her groom. 🛁✂️

I have to admit, I have a real soft spot for poodles. Their intelligence, affectionate nature and fun-loving personalities make them such a joy to groom. Every one has their own little character, and Suzy was no exception! 💕

Thank you for visiting, Suzy. You were a pleasure to groom, and I can't wait to welcome you back for your next pamper! 🐾

🕷️ I found my first ever tick on Waffle! 🐩

Luckily, I spotted it early and was able to remove it safely using a tick removal tool.

Ticks are most active from spring through to autumn (around March to October), although during mild winters they can still be active. They're commonly found in:

🌿 Long grass

🍃 Woodland

🌾 Fields

🌳 Parks and areas with lots of wildlife

After every walk, it's a good idea to check your dog, especially around:

🐾 Ears

🐾 Neck and collar area

🐾 Armpits

🐾 Between the toes

🐾 Around the eyes

🐾 Under the tail and groin

✨ This is one of the many reasons why regular brushing is so important. Brushing doesn't just help prevent knots and matting—it also gives you the chance to check your dog's skin for:

✔️ Ticks

✔️ Lumps and bumps

✔️ Cuts or sore spots

✔️ Skin changes

The earlier a tick is spotted, the easier it is to remove.
