These kennels are privately owned and therefore interested in only PROFIT=MONEY ! they are on a contract from South Tyneside Council to act as a "rescue and rehoming centre", but they do virtually nothing to proactively rehome the animals. They do not have a website to advertise the animals individually. They do not have a facebook site to connect lost animals pictures to their owners. They do NOT allow the dogs a walk EVER. They spend NO money on the dogs or kennels. They do NOT even open on sundays. They should be immieditely CLOSED DOWN and the contract taken away from them. They are a DISGRACE.

i have actually worked at westhall, the people i worked with were very two faced. and some ways they treat the dogs were a disgrace they will put to sleep good healthy dogs just because thye had no room for more dogs, no dogs means no money so needless to say were there mind was at... (money). the kennels were disgracefull sawdust stuck to the foor when they get wet and shredded paper for bedding isn't very nice to see them on especially when the dogs may urinate in it and it dont get changed till the next working day. they dont get let out till they get rehomed so there always stuck inside its shocing to see. they dont get any human time apart from the quick 5 minutes when they get cleaned out i advice you to get a dog from there so they dont have to take much more of this.....
