Home from a real mixed feeling kind of show in Wales, with ChaCha jumping some confident rounds in the Newcomers & Foxhunter on the first couple of days, after a blip back at Onley a couple of weeks ago. Some trying weather conditions in the Foxhunter yesterday afternoon meant she wasn’t exactly playing ball but you can’t control the weather!

Clare-Louise’s daughter, Evie, gave 4yo Buttons some really positive rounds in the pony classes over the weekend, along with her first British Novice (on a ticket) under her belt for a green fence. She gains confidence after every fence so I really couldn’t ask for much more.

As always, I wouldn’t make it to these shows without such a supportive team behind me! Lilly, despite not exactly being in the fittest of health.. for keeping myself organised, getting horses ready and for keeping me company on the journeys, when you’re not asleep in the passenger seat.. Between Wendi & Mum for keeping the ball rolling smoothly at home while I’m gone. But most importantly, Crestlands & Felsted Horseboxes for keeping my lorry running and getting me out of huge muddles at very short notice, allowing me to even make it away in the first place!

A productive weekend out with some of the Team.

ChaCha jumped some textbook rounds in prep for The Hadleigh Show next weekend, as well as stepping back up to some bigger tracks after her winter break.

Mum’s 4yo, Buttons, gave me a rather exuberant ride to begin with. If I ever wanted to make it as a Bull Rider in a Rodeo, then she’s definitely given me a good start! But really grew into herself in a short space of time, giving me a confident amount of fences for one of her first outings.

And a huge thank you, to my Super Groom Lilly! For getting horses ready and making my life run so much more smoothly. I would be a totally disorganised mess without you!!

Beezie’s Buttons at her first of many outings to Barret’s this morning. Finished off with giving me some real confident little fences. She really couldn’t of taken it in her stride any better!

Carrigogunnel ChaCha’s first jump of 2023 last week. A quick play over some small fences to ease her back into the swing of things.

4yo Beezie’s Buttons taking everything in her stride with being ridden away. A very sweet pony🤩

Beezies Buttons at her first little show a few weeks ago. A local showing show predominantly for her to see the world a bit more but in fact ended up winning her class & coming home with a big fat red one🤩
