So true !! Thank you to everyone for there understanding but the doggy’s come first ✨🐾

This weather really hits our industry hard.

Over the last few days, many of us in the dog industry have had to make the decision to cancel classes, workshops, walks, training sessions, daycare activities and events.

As small businesses, every cancellation has an impact. We lose income, spend hours rearranging schedules, and often absorb costs that can’t be recovered.

But dog welfare will always come first.

No class, walk, workshop or training session is worth putting a dog at risk. When temperatures soar, our responsibility is to keep dogs safe, even when it’s the harder business decision.

So today, I’d love to shine a light on the amazing small businesses who are also putting welfare first. If you know a dog trainer, walker, daycare, groomer, physio, hydrotherapist, pet sitter or any other pet professional who has been affected by the heat, tag them below and give them a follow.

Supporting small businesses costs nothing, but it can make a huge difference.

Meet Aticus & Vinnie 🐾

Aticus is my boy, as you all know, and this was his first visit to .grooming
Vinny is Lucy’s pup, who comes to me.
I groom Aticus every week, but every few months I’ll be taking him to Lucy, and she’ll do the same with Vinny.

To some people, it may seem strange that a groomer would take their own dog somewhere else, and honestly, I understand that. But knowing Aticus is just as comfortable and cared for with someone else means the world to me.

As fellow groomers, it’s incredibly reassuring to know that if either of us ever needs support, our dogs have somewhere familiar, safe and that if I ever need to step away — whether it’s for a holiday or during a fully booked schedule or medical issues I know that Aticus would be in safe hands.🥹🤍

Supporting other groomers in the area is so important. It’s more than just business; it’s a community where we grow together, support each other, and build trust.

I’m truly grateful to have found this partnership and to be part of a circle that cares so deeply about both our pups and each other. 🤍

I’m currently on holiday with my baby boy 🐶🤍
i won’t be back till the 20th of April I will be getting back to message soon but for now I’m going to spend some quality time with Aticus and relaxing/exploring as I can’t sit still 😆✨🐾

Aticus, you are truly something special. Watching you grow, gain confidence, and keep that happy sparkle in your eyes has been such a privilege. You make me laugh every single day with something crazy you do or a new thing you have worked out 😂
You remind us all how resilient and brave dogs can be, even after tough times 🐶✨
