I took Ivy to her second independent show today and she did very well! She had a clear 2nd place in her jumping class, only just beaten on time by her friend Meme.
Her first agility run she got a bit distracted by the smells in the arena but did well once I got her focus back, plus also got all her contacts which I was very pleased with. Her second agility class she went clear and got a 1st place, again I was very impressed with her contacts too!
Her last run she was a bit tired so did a bit of sniffing at the start which resulted in two refusals, so 10 faults for that run but again she did well once her focus came back.

Thank you to those who came along to my trick training workshop today, it was lovely to see everyone making some great progress! Next month’s session will be held on Saturday the 15th so please get in touch if you would like to reserve a place.

Venue: Near Dunmow, CM6 3BT (full address will be given once your space is booked)

Times available: 11:15am- 1 space
12:30pm- 2 spaces

Price: Only £8 per dog!

This is suitable for dogs from 8 months old onwards (younger puppies considered on an individual basis) who are comfortable working in a group environment with other dogs and people. Groups are mixed ability and if your dog is already familiar with any of the tricks being taught, you will be shown ways to increase the level of difficulty. Some of the tricks will also be useful for those interested in agility as part of a warm up routine, so this can also be discussed for those interested.

Thank you everyone who came along to my trick workshop today, it was lovely to see some familiar faces and also meet some new dogs and their owners. It was great to see everyone making progress throughout the session and it looked like both humans and dogs were having lots of fun! Ivy also behaved very well as my demo dog for both sessions and was exhausted when we got home!

As requested I am organising another workshop next month, so if anyone is interested please let me know so I can get an idea of numbers before splitting everyone into groups. If you can only make a certain time then please let me know that too. This will be on the 18th of October with the first session starting at 10am.

Such a happy face! Introducing Nami who I’ve started agility with recently, she came along with me and Ivy to take part in her first workshop today which she loved. She’s definitely good fun to train and very different to Ivy!
