Greenmeads Stud is a small family stud on the Essex / Suffolk borders 15 mins from the A12. Our horses are an extension of our family and we know them all inside out. In addition to breeding we pride ourselves at giving each of them the opportunity to be broken to ride / drive and have a life outside that of broodmare or stud stallion. SOME prefer to stick to breeding and that is also respected. H

appy horses make us happy. We are home to some of the sons, daughters and grandchildren of the legendary Danaway flask-jack, nebo Daniel, Croniarth texas gold, Trevallion valentine, Terackie winter shadow, Davids cymru Llwyd, Janton renegade, Janton Meredith to name but a few! In addition to a true and pure love for welsh cobs for the last 38 years the stud was formed through a frustration that all of the quality dilute welsh cobs were a million miles away from Essex! In the forthcoming years we will be very proud to stand at stud two wonderful double dilute (cremello and perlino) stallions that will produce quality cobs, with the emphasis on excellent conformation, type, movement and temperament. Teamed with our hand picked broodmares we will be producing some excellent youngstock who in the future will be offered for sale to 10* homes. We love visitors and the kettle is always on for past, present and future owners- but please ring in advance to organise a convenient time

Sharing a photo dump of just some of the amazing photos we were lucky to have taken by Rosie at dunrose photography and Liv at Olivia rose photography of some of our amazing mares, stallions and youngstock here at Greenmeads. Thorneyside, Danaway, terackie, Tresorya , cwmmawr lines to name just a few.

We still have available at weaning:
2 x buckskin section D c**ts to make up to 15.2
1 x palomino welsh section d filly to make at least 14.2
1 x buckskin welsh section c c**t

Youngstock:
1 x cremello sports x welsh c**t yearling to make in excess of 15.2
1 x Cremello 4 year pure traditional gypsy cob standing around the 14.2 mark

Ridden;
1 x 4 year old full up 13.2 perlino welsh section c mare who has been away being professionally broken. Never been sick or sorry good to do in all ways however no novices due to her age

Broodies:
We have a couple of experienced but slightly older broodmares empty this time as we only covered 2 this year but who could come back to be covered at a greatly reduced rate next season.

Due to the market being slow and potentially having to run on foals we have decided to also cut back on some of our broodies and will be adding more as the weeks go on. Traditional gypsy cob mare San cler Ivory (14h and double cream) is one of the first we are offering. She’s bred us 4 incredible foals. Pics included She is completely unhandled but with the sweetest of temperaments. Despite never being led we can always get get her where we need her either by following a bucket or a friend. When in and stabled she comes round quite quickly and enjoys a scratch. Essex/ Suffolk borders

👀🏡 last mention here before I formally advertise her “ GM Texas flash” (cadfach pandora x GM buddy) full up 13.2 perlino homebred filly who is going to be a serious competition pony who jumps for fun but has also been hacking alone and in company and ridden in open spaces or family favourite in the right home. Never bitten or kicked loves attention and is a half sibling to my diva who is the 2025 novice worker champion. She’s been off being professionally broken by Emily and is exceeeding everyone’s expectations. I would love her to stay with someone I know or a recommended friend of a friend.
