Can you volunteer a few hours a month to help with our finances? As a UK registered charity there are a number of things we need to be on top of to ensure compliance. This includes using Quickbooks, book keeping, reconciliations, gift aid process and year end reports.

We are a small number of people who do a great deal for Paws Rescue UK and Qatar, but would like someone with a more financial/data savvy mind to help with this responsibility.

‘This week marked our 3 month anniversary of getting Elsa!! 🥹🎉

I honestly couldn’t imagine her not being part of our pack, we all love her so so much!

This week she had her second glow up at the dog groomers and she came out shining! ‘

Today, we celebrate an extraordinary man — Sir David Attenborough.

Throughout his remarkable career, he has given a voice to the voiceless, opened our eyes to magnificent creatures, and introduced us to parts of the world many of us never knew existed.

He has taught generations to respect the planet and all those we share it with. We do not own the Earth; we simply borrow our time here. With that comes a responsibility to protect it, nurture it, and learn to live alongside every living thing.

There is no other voice quite as powerful, recognisable, or deeply loved when it comes to natural history and life on Earth. Sir David has not only educated us — he has inspired us to care.

We truly hope he has the most wonderful 100th birthday. His message is, without doubt, one of the most important of our lifetime — and one that will continue to matter for generations to come.

Sweet 5 year old Pookie, currently in the Midlands area, is looking for a new home. She is a bit of a worrier, but once she feels safe she will happily chill and snuggle up close to you on the sofa and in bed. Although she can live with other cats she feels more comfortable without them, and she would be better in a home with older or no kids.

Greetings from some of our animals at our shelter in Qatar!

Thank you to those who have reached out over the last week or so. Despite it being a scary time, our animals are safe and our animal handlers are doing a brilliant job at continuing to provide a sense of safety for them. They are tolerating the noises overhead well and apart from missing regular visitors, they are doing great.

It is a tough time and without some of our regular support, deliveries and things being closed, we are asking if anyone is able to make a small donation via the link in bio to help us. Many people are indeed evacuating or leaving Qatar temporarily, but we are still here. Our animals are here as they need us and we won’t leave them.

We are looking for kind, committed and reliable volunteers to join us is in acting as Trustees of the charity.

You don’t need a specific background to apply, what matters most is a genuine care for animals, and a willingness to contribute your time and skills. That said, certain knowledge, skills and backgrounds would be a welcome bonus:

As a trustee, you’ll be supporting our charity to continue changing the lives of hundreds of animals, working behind the scenes so our rescue work can thrive. We have quarterly teams calls just to keep on top of communication and mostly catch up via WhatsApp.
