Hi everyone,

Due to the current challenges we are facing and other commitments that currently require our time. We have made the decision to temporarily reduce our hours.

We understand this is not going to be ideal for everyone but after a lot of thought, we have decided it is the best choice for us at this time.

We will still be able to order items in and deliver them to your home and you will still be able to visit us on Fridays and Saturdays between 10am-4pm.

We are confident that given a little time, we will be able to bounce back bigger and better than ever. So in the meantime do let us know if we can help you with any of your pet needs and thank you for your continued support.

Pet Fayre.

Hey guys,

As you will all know we are all facing lots of challenges atm. It's having a big knock-on effect on businesses and individuals alike, all across the country.

In times like this, I am a strong believer that communities need to come together to support one another. We personally do our very best to shop locally and support our local businesses whenever possible. I just want to say thank you to all of you who do the same for us. It genuinely makes a world of difference to us.

For the first time in decades, we have taken the decision for now to temporarily stop stocking as many live animals. We can of course get animals in, but we will put customers on a waiting list and order animals periodically. We feel it important to make sure pets have a home as soon as possible to prevent them from waiting for lengthy periods in store.

As a consequence, we are downsizing our number of enclosures and will be selling for reasonable prices. This especially applies to our reptile enclosures and equipment. Sadly it is not the easiest time for a reptile establishment.

If you are interested in any enclosures etc please feel free to message me via the page.

In the meantime thank you all for your continued support!

Wishing you all the best.
Pet Fayre

FUN FACT!
Did you know, nearly all species of frogs (and other amphibians) and various other species have a translucent ‘third eyelid’ called the nictitating.
It protects the eye from moisture and dirt while still allowing it to see. Sort of like built-in goggles!

FUN FACT!
Did you know, there are over 3000 different species of stick insect and each type lays an egg unique in both size and shape…

Most female stick insects have the ability to reproduce parthenogenetically (asexually) and will produce vast numbers of eggs. The offspring produced will be exact copies of the mother, which poses a genetic disadvantage, so females can also mate with males with a 50/50 chance of male offspring.

This ‘quantity over quality approach is very successful and stick insects can be found on every continent (excluding antarctica)
How interesting is that?!
