My Sadie took her last breath in my arms last night ๐๐๐ชฝ
Honestly heartbroken isnโt the word - Sadie was such a constant figure in my life, she lived 4.5 years above her breeds life expectancy, she was biologically rare (1 in 10,000!) as she was intersex, not common - most keepers wonโt ever see one, sheโs my special girl
She was there for all my major life events, finishing high school, going to collage, completing my apprenticeships, my first job, starting a business, getting married, welcoming my daughter, Sadie and my flock is always who I celebrate with first ๐๐ชฝ
Sadie was the top hen of the flock, keeping everyone in line and safe, her personality was massive and she was the sweetes girl and my god was she strong, i nursed her back from the brink of death 3 times but this time her little heart couldnโt go on any longer ๐๐ฅ
She really was a fighter ๐
She raised 3 beautiful chicks, kept the order in the flock, Granny Sue was how she was known ๐๐
Iโm completely devastated. I really struggle with loosing them, they are all so important to me but thank god i decided to go out to the flock when I did, itโs almost like she waited for meโฆ it was quick and sudden, walking about just minutes before, I picked her up for our usual cuddle and brought her inside when I noticed she wasnโt right, she declined in minutes and then passed in my arms, thank god I went out when I did I canโt bare the thought of her being scared ๐๐
Sadie will be up there with paytah, Vander, Morgan and Tigris, Kleo, kiara, Megan and Jaffa and Hazel. Itโs never gets easier and itโs the only down side to loving so many animals, when they go it hits so hard ๐๐ชฝ
Thank you Sadie ๐ฅน๐
