🧙‍♂️🐕 Albus had a full groom yesterday. His surface hair was very wirey but very soft underneath once clipped. After a bath, dry and clip I also raked put some undercoat. A bit of coat shine spray and some pooch cologne he was looking and smelly fabulous!

Hi, my name is Katrina and I own Wags and Tails Dog Grooming , get in contact to book your dog in for a simple bath and dry or a full groom.
I work on one dog at a time to ensure the highest level of care and attention. I have many years experience in dog care and own two Springers.
I am based on Fernleigh Park which is the bew builds in the long marston airfeild.
I am open Monday-Friday 10am-6pm & Satruday 10am-2pm, with an average appointment taking 1.5-2 hours for a medium dog.

Contact must be made during January and all appointments must be attended to qualify for the discount. (Appointment dates can be changed if plans change but at least 72 hours notice must be given to still qualify for the final discount)

Jinx came for a tidy up yesterday.
She is a Schnoodle (schnauzer x poodle) and is very cute!
Her owner likes her body short but her legs and ears fluffy. We gave her a good bath and dry, then a trim. Her nails were very long so we cut and filed them, then gave her ears a pluck. Schnauzers require ear plucking as they don’t really malt and their ears get clogged. Jinx doesn’t like having her ears done but is used to it after 6 years.

They aren’t just here for me to earn money, they have feelings too. I always make sure I give them some love and attention.
Merlot was a good boy and looked fabulous after his groom. We left his legs fluffy and he was very happy.

Betty is a German Spitz, and she hated her feet being touched but loved her bath.
We gave her a good scrub, a gentle dry and raked out her coat.
Her Mom was very happy and booked in again in 10 weeks.

Long nails can potentially cause issues, including an affect with balance. If claws are too long it can cause dogs to start weight-bearing on the nails instead of their feet/pads, which can result in poor balance and reduced grip. This puts them at risk of injury.
Pressure on long nails can also be painful for dogs when walking.
Pavement walking can naturally file the nails but regular maintenance is important.

When trimming nails it is important to not cut the too short as there is a blood vessel and nerves running down the centre of every nail, called a quick. In pale nails this is easy to see but dark nails can be more tricky.
