🌡️ Puppy Class Cancellation– Tuesday 4th August 🐾

Due to the extreme temperatures, there will be no Tuesday puppy class this week (4th August) ‼️

Everyone due to attend this evening has been contacted and offered spaces in classes later this week, but if you haven't seen my message, please do get in touch.

It always saddens me to cancel another class and let both people and puppies down, but your dogs' health, safety, and welfare will always be my top priority. Thank you so much for your understanding and support.

🐾 Meet the gorgeous Benji! 🐾

I recently had the pleasure of working with this handsome little chap and his wonderful owners during a puppy home visit. Together, we focused on building some of the most important foundation skills every young dog needs.

We worked on creating engagement, teaching him that paying attention to his owners is both rewarding and fun. We also introduced loose lead walking to help make future walks enjoyable, practised a sit stay to build patience and self-control, and worked on dropping items he'd picked up – an invaluable skill for both safety and everyday life!

These early lessons lay the foundations for a confident, well-mannered dog and help prevent many common problems from developing as puppies grow. Training isn't just about teaching behaviours; it's about building a strong relationship and clear communication between you and your dog.

If you've recently welcomed a new puppy into your family and would like some personalised guidance in the comfort of your own home, I'd love to help. Puppy home visits are tailored to you and your puppy, giving you the skills and confidence to enjoy life together from the very beginning.

Stop recalling your dog!

*when they are busy

Recall is a vital safety skill that allows your dog to explore and enjoy natural behaviors while giving you peace of mind. However, if you only recall your dog when they are distracted or sniffing something interesting, you may be unintentionally training them to ignore you or delay their response.

To build a more reliable recall, try calling your dog only when they disengage from what they are doing. This teaches them that a fast recall is a fun and rewarding extra part of their walk rather than an inconvenience. By establishing a strong history of successful, easy recalls, your dog will be much more likely to respond immediately even when they are busy.

Due to the high temperatures, there will be no puppy classes this week. Your safety and the well-being of your puppies are my top priorities.

Do you have a puppy ready to join a friendly and supportive group training class? Spaces are now available for my Thursday 5:00 PM sessions in Stowupland.

If you are currently on the waiting list, you should have recently received an offer via email. Please check your spam folder if you haven’t seen it yet. If you are not on the list, please get in touch soon to secure a spot before they are fully booked. ⚡

Why choose these classes?

- Small Groups: Classes are capped at seven puppies to ensure training is tailored to your individual needs.
- Personalised Approach: Exercises and criteria are adjusted for each puppy; we do not use a "one size fits all" method.
- Socialisation: Puppies learn in a safe, controlled environment with real-life distractions.
- Qualified Instruction: You will work with an experienced, accredited trainer currently studying canine behavior at degree level to provide the most up-to-date, science based guidance.
- Community: Connect with other owners to share the experience of raising a puppy.
- Ongoing Support: All clients receive individual email support for any questions that arise between classes.

As we ease into the festive period, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting my small business this year. 💖

Thank you for training with me, recommending my services, and most of all, for sharing your precious pups with me. Because of you, I am able to do what I love every day, and that truly means the world to me. 🥰

Over the next few days, I will be enjoying some quality time with family and the little old man Koda—as pictured below in his pajamas and Christmas blanket. 🤭 He is certainly a great role model for taking life easy! 😄

I wish you and your dogs a wonderful Christmas filled with winter walks, tasty treats, warming cuddles, and time to recharge.🌲🥰
