Let’s talk Paddock Fertiliser! Spring can be an ideal time to fertilise your horse/pony paddock to ensure optimum grass growth and help suppress w**ds.

Gatley’s have two brands of fertiliser in stock - Suregrow and Nutrigrow.

If you have any questions about how to calculate how many bags you need or which one to choose, please send a message, comment here or give us a call we can talk you through it.

**Suregrow Paddock Fertiliser 20kg @ £26.48**

· Provides slow nutrient release over a three-month period to avoid lush grass growth and specifically designed for horse and pony paddocks

· Results can usually be seen in 3-4 weeks (depending on rainfall/weather conditions and your existing grass).

· Unlike many traditional agricultural fertilisers, Suregrow is made with a cereal-based carrier.

· Does not require movement of stock during or after application, unless grass growth is less than 2 inches/50mm or bare ground.

· For Spring/Summer or late Summer/Autumn growth – 4 x 20kg bags per acre.

· Rainfall after spreading is ideal to gently dissolve the pellets.

· Can be spread by hand or with a fertiliser spreader.

· Stimulates root development and strength giving a dense sward.

· Contains all the major nutrients (Nitrogen 11%, Phosphate 22% and Sulphur 18%) needed for grazing grass growth.

· Safe for all livestock including chickens, ducks, llamas, alpaca’s, sheep, goats and cattle.

**NutriGrow 20-10-10 Paddock NPK Fertiliser 20kg @ £24.50**

· 20:10:10 contains: 20% nitrogen, 10% phosphate, 10% potassium.

· 2 bags (40kgs) per acre recommended for general use.

· If the area is going to be used to grow hay, or intensively grazed, then look to apply 3 bags per acre (60kgs).

· Ideal for use on paddocks and pasture.

· Can be spread by hand or with a fertiliser spreader.

· Do not graze until all fertiliser prills have completely dissolved, typically 24 hours or longer if no rain/moisture.

Please note:

Always read the product label before use. Do not store in feed areas or feed to animals. Not to be used by children.

Now is the perfect time to boost your lawn or paddock areas with the warmer weather in full swing! ☀️

Wayne the gorgeous 16 year old Cob was fitted with a brand-new Thinline Flexible Grazing Muzzle!

With the weather improving and more opportunities to turn out your horses, you might be thinking about how you can control grazing (depending on your horse and the grazing conditions).

So….it’s the perfect time to let you know that we now stock the Thinline Flexible Grazing Muzzle!

-Reduces the amount and speed of grazing which prevents overgrazing nutrient-rich grass.
-It’s safe, lightweight and flexible and has UV protection.
-It’s soft on equine skin, lips/gums and teeth.
-Available in different sizes – Small (mini/Pony) Medium (Cob/Horse) and Large (Oversize/Draft).
-The feeding hole is available in two diameters too – 3.5cm (regular) and 2.5cm (restricted).
-Full hydration access – works with watering options/systems.

It’s recommended that you pair the Thinline Grazing Muzzle with the Thinline Breakaway Field Safe Headcollar (designed to breakaway when needed under pressure) and it has strategically placed slots to slide your grazing muzzle ties through for the best fit.

It also means it’s rub-free, as the ties are on the outside of the collar.

Borstiq Farm yard brooms now at Gatley’s!
