Well we had our scanning done and we are absolutely devastated😔. It looks like our Tup had picked up an infection and was infertile when running with the ewes, he was still out and marked them all during tupping so we thought everything was fine until we got them scanned. So we have decided that we will hold all the ewes back and take them to Carlisle in August. On the upside we had great results with our commercial blackies and cheviots. That’s the sheep life for you 🐑 🐑 🐑

Hi, So here is a list of all the ewe's for the dispersal next month, all are due for scanning next week. All Ewes, Rams and Lambs are on the footvax and heptivac programs. Fingers crossed for some good results at the scanning.

Flock dispersal sale.
Due to a change in circumstance we will be holding a flock dispersal sale of our Valais Blacknose sheep in March at Dingwall auction mart.
We will have in-lamb ewes, ewe lambs, rams and some wethers available. We will confirm the exact date shortly.

Thanks to David and Karen at Hebridean Valais blacknose sheep for letting me visit, (twice!) a couple of years ago for reference photos where this was taken. The Isle of Lewis / Harris are now up there as one of my favourite places 👌 Can't wait to go back!
