This video nearly stayed in drafts - the sound out of sync, my patience is out of stock.

Here’s the truth: yes, sometimes people do need to surrender their dogs. Life happens, and that doesn’t make you a bad owner.

But some random guy on the internet declaring you ‘unfit’ without knowing a single thing about you? That’s not expertise, that’s ego.

A dog in a home with love, food, medical care and attention will always be better than a concrete kennel. Every. Single. Time.

Some dogs change your life.
Moose changed my entire ethos.

I’ve never believed in “balanced training.” Dogs don’t need fear or force. But I also realised treats alone aren’t enough. If your dog doesn’t trust you, you’re out of luck.

Moose taught me that the real foundation is the relationship. Trust first, training second. When a dog chooses you, everything else falls into place.

Three years on, he still curls up in my arms like he did as a sick puppy. That’s the proof.

Today, my reactive dog chose not to react.

Not because I corrected him.
Not because I made him submit.
But because he trusts me.

We’ve spent time working on our relationship — building safety, connection, and communication. That’s what made the difference.

Reactivity isn’t just about managing behaviour. It’s about helping your dog feel safe enough to choose calm.

Hi friends!

As many of you know I stopped doing client work a few months ago. This is because a man had pretended to be a young woman in need of my help to get me to his home. I don't know why he did it, but it shook my confidence.

I've been presented with an amazing opportunity though. I've been offered a place on a course designed specifically for dog trainers. It focuses on helping build the relationship with dog and handler to tackle behaviours, rather than mask those behaviours with obedience training.

This course would be a fantastic way to get me back into the saddle. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and if you're able to help out at all - even just by liking this post - it would mean the world to me.

Unfortunately I am having to pause all training, and that has meant some last minute 1-1 cancellations. I'm very sorry for this.

My safety was intentionally compromised and I cannot, and will not, allow that to happen.

Crate training should be "Crate AND" training. As in your dog has separation anxiety so you're crate training AND speaking to a vet about medication. Or you're crate training AND using a dog walker to break up the home alone time.

Your dog destroys things when left alone so you're crate training AND upping his enrichment.

Crate training isn't a quick fix. It's very quickly recommended in this group as if it's a magical solve all your issues solution. Crate training should be beneficial for your dog. If your dog hates it then it's aversive.

My husband's disabilities have kept him unable to find fulfilling work for a long time. In the last couple years he's been unable to work at all.

This course is something he'd really love to do, but as I'm the only earner we don't have the funds to allow him to do it. It would really help to get him back into work and into a career he'd enjoy.

I wouldn't normally post something like this but he's so close to his goal! Even liking the post would help immensely.
